There are 16 groups, but 3 groups are empty, to allow 3 byes. Only 3 seeds get byes but the 3rd and 4th seed will ultimately play the same amount of games
Because LD's group has 4 players and he gets a bye if he wins the group and Axelsen's group has 3 players but won't get a bye.
Number 3 will play one more match in the group stages and gets a bye in Pre Quarter Finals whereas number 4 plays Pre Quarter finals
Sounds right, maybe we're overthinking, the whole process looked all right to me but it's still better to use transparent boxes. Also the person picking the names were changed but not the other person picking the groups.

Me too, I like it. I much prefer Lin Dan to play LCW first in the semifinals before taking on Chen Long.
Yes. This is all planned. In fact, seeds 2, 3 and 4 all play the same amount of games as everyone else. Only LCW actually plays one less game in reality.
I just want the ones who are picking not look at all when the balls are picked in the boxes and pick both the player and group and then announce making it all the more clear. I wasnt starting any conspiracy theory but I just dont like how it is done
