Incidentally, when Armortec 700 came out many years ago, people were commenting on how head heavy and flexible the racket was. That racket was Lin Dan's main racket.

    Check out http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/index.php?threads/yonex-armortec-700-at700-review.10264/.

Voltric Z-Force II is head heavy, but is too stiff compared to Armortec 700. So maybe that's why Voltric LD-Force was made for Lin Dan. It is head heavy and flexible at the same time like the Armortec 700.

Hello VT-LDF owners, may I know how will this racket compare to the Voltric80? I own a VT80 (4UG4), a VTZF2 (3UG5) and I'd like to know where this new racket will fall for closer in between. (Like VT80 ++ VTLDF ++++ VTZF2) Many thanks!

This is very interesting, quite a lot of similar comments from my review and his. Both head heavy, both flexible, and both not recommended for beginners and intermediates. I would say technology has gotten better since then and the voltrics are generally better than the armortecs.

I'm surprised not more people are trying this racket out.
If LD wins olympic gold yonex will start advertising it, and then everyone is gonna use it.

I am still interested to try this racket out mainly due to age factor lol.
Have been using VTZF and MX80 bsck in the days, the LDF specs (head heavy and flexy) sounds more forgiving and suitable to my style of play (MD with lots of check/half smashes)

For me it doesn't matter, LD force is my main racket now since its not that stiff compares to my zforce 2 LD red. Of course i would still prefer Lin dan to use his zforce 2 red, instead of the new LD force racket during coming olypimcs games. Zforce 2 red at least win him the German open and All England title.

Would you say it's more or less stiff than the VTZF??

If someone could compare this to a VTZF, it would be greatly appreciated :)

Yumo.ca is legit. If the racket is like the vt80 I will never get it.

Played a few games with the VTLD-F and the feeling is reinforced that this racket is a blend of VTZF2 and VT80.

For hard power shots like clears, drives, and smashes, it feels close to the VT80.

For soft touch shots like drops, defensive blocks, and net plays, it feels close to the VTZF2.

Hmm.. I thought so too. VT80 is a legendary racket already on its own. Maybe if it was called a VTZF-III then it could have been a different story ;)

As much as i would like to order from them. The cost of recieving it at the post office here in the philippines is very costly :(

So much so I actually hoarded 2 pieces to keep... My first ever move to collect a frame, normally I would string and actively use all of the frames I have.

You might have to wait for quite some time though, if you plan to get from sunriseclick. They're already supplying to shops in other countries (there's a shop here in Brunei which had already received from them, but sold out the first day though) but it's not showing up in the website yet. A part of me suspects that they might release it online after the Olympics.

Now I'm torn between getting the LD Force or the Z force 2 Red. Any suggestions?
