Jeez, Marin makes it easy to hate her....giving the shuttle back to the wrong side of the court on purpose just now...and those screams...and her upturned nose every time she wins a point......PLEASE SJH, just beat her. I beg you.

Such unsportsmanlike behaviors should be red carded, but it could be real.

Sung JiHyun wasn't a fast player to begin with, but Marin's tearing up the court. Can she keep it up in set 2? If she does, the Korean probably has no answer.

But her racket skills are second to none. It's great to have her in women's badminton, hopefully game evolves into aggressive style like Marin plays. No other woman can play like her at best, it's almost like watching men's game.

    No its really not.
Neither is it great to have an unpleasant personality at the top of our sport, nor is her play anywhere near top level MS.

I've noticed korean WS players usually have good strokes and nice technique, but their movement is soooo slow. The juniors as well

What stupid racist remark is this ? Olympic sport is to celebrate common humanity, not cold war mentality.

Good that Joseph schooling was not an imported player. Although he trained in the US, he was born in singland.

SJH looks a little tentative and sluggish when Marin smashes

it is like having the Williams in badminton. a lot of power, a lot of screaming. a lot of attitude. not sure if that's good for the sports or not.

Agreed, Hopefully Ws game evolve into more attacking games. Just like in Tennis with Seles, Serena etc brought power game.
Caro is slaying SJH right now
Bye SJH and Korea (Maybe they can get the bronze in WD and surprise in MS though)

SJH tries to attack but it's rather toothless. Marin 9-2

Not able to watch Marin's. I don't miss her screams at all. She cheers when her opponents make errors. Not cool.

I think it is, if other option is that game evolves into grinder style like Wang Shixian is playing. Marin also dives in defence like men, surely that will become more common for female players.

Every female player does celebrate even if they get a point from opponent unforced error. And many male players as well.
