Caution if you stick your head in the box to get a whiff of that new racket smell you will probably pass out within 4 minutes. Best to
limit it to 30 second journeys.

I create and try to upset always the situation to finish the rally with a smash or a net kill. Regardless if XD or MD. Especially at higher level with opponents who cover well this tatics wouldn't work until one makes the error or hit it out, even if you play against a bad "girl front-man back all the time"-XD dropshots get punished pretty fast. If you don't smash to the girl, I would describe you as a "Weichei";)

Haha yeah but I guess it's different in lower leagues, with ladys actually being afraid of the shuttle and it being 'proper' not to smash at them...although I'd never ignore a blatant weakness just to protect my opponent's feelings :D
You go on court, you better be prepared to give it your all and expect the same from the opponent

I had a dialog with a BK girl several month ago. She told me that I'm not allowed to smash at her. I argued, that I don't let my shots, tactics or strokes get limited, otherwise I don't play. She also argue that I shouldn't do body smashs because the court is big enough. LMFAO. I told her, that I do everything except cheating to win. I don't care about my opponents feelings. No opponent who wins and I limited me, will credit me. They will show-off with their win, this will not happen...:D I go everytime berzerk when I play.

    Best quote of all times:

@ucantseeme: this Panda usually plays MD. But if MD vs. XD, it's a pain. Panda usually plays for fun, never trying to blow an opponent out and trying to keep it fun...but in XD there's a fine line, especially if the guy is good. If you just float the shuttle to him, he's gonna make you pay. If we play hard (we go XD as well and hit everything at the girl), we make them pay but the girl gets all upset. But that's the nature of the beast. Like you said, if you're playing to win, you need to go berzerk...

...Panda's not that way, at least not anymore. When we get into a MD vs. XD I ask my partner (usually Ducky) how do you want to do this, go bezerk or get run?

@DinkAlot I know what you mean. I also like casual games, but for me it is difficult to have a good balance. If I switch in the eco-mode I'm mostly not satisfied with my performance. Especially if everybody goes casual, the game could be real fun, no doubt, but it is not good to me when I play this too often. I get less motivated and this gets me down. For cool down such games are great.

On topic: Why does Panda stick with the old school 72 pattern and don't switch to a 76 or 80 pattern? Is there a specific reason in terms of racket design?

Panda prefers the 76 hole pattern but sometimes the racket molds are already set in stone so we have to go with what they have.

I usually guage how hard they smash at us and put the some amount of effort back. On easy kills I aim away or hit the guy instead.
My thought is if your stepping up to play tougher folks I admire that but you have to be prepared. If I am joining a group of weaker players
I should respect that and play so the game is fun for all. Being taller wish I had a dollar for every time a new player hit me in the back of the
body or head when I was crouching playing the front lol. Think it worse when your partner drills you as you don't get a chance to move.

I was a little disappointed that you went with 72 rather than 76 after felling the power of the ppv2. The TPK floats my boat completely though, so I suppose it's moot.

So last night in mixed (division 5!) my partner says "Will you stop pratting about and just whack it at her?" so I obliged with some shoulder-friendly half smashes and the poor lasses were ducking behind the net after that. The ex div 1 guy didn't seem to be holding back the power, nor avoiding aiming at the lady. Maybe I'm just a gentleman.

Back on topic. Is the Titan stiffer than the TPK enough that I should drop 1lb tension to balance it out? Probably not eh :)

If somebody smashs at my partner which I try to avoid to due positioning that she stands cross when defending, my partner pretty often says: Wreck this f***ing S*** and than it's time for beast mode and glasses will fly from noses to the ground and ass will drop to the ground. I'm just a gentleman to my partner and only to my partner.

Did this discussion thread become a mixed double one or is it still Panda Power one???

Where are those Titan reviews, is it only Ormy that took the time to give it a try???

Dream car only for the purist; I wish you one, well desrver. Now, everybody wants PDK.... I drive a manual Cayman, and it is lots of fun....

Still, waiting for some Titan reviews from normal people, not from a badminton beast like Dan.;)

Panda's like manual transmissions. Titan reviews: most of the rackets so far went to people that don't post online; at least I don't think.
