cobblers, yes there are. But I was hoping there is a DIY solution (with less mess) I use this but not so elegant outcome
Gles don't help too much, I have tried glues as my first resort, but after playing for 1-2 weeks the shoes would get done again. Having a cobbler to repair them is better, as they sew he shoes and keep it intact. Glues don't hold for too long. I also have my running and football shoes sewed too by the cobblers, make them last much longer. Actually it's better you sew them when you just bought the shoes
CA doesn't work too well on fabrics because when it dries it becomes brittle. We have a product called "shoe goo" that works better. I'm sure it's available there in some form as well.
I use Shoe Goo. It's excellent but it's a little messy. If you're careful you can achieve a pretty neat job with it.
I've used shoe goo before but not for badminton shoes. It's pretty durable though so I think it would hold up, at least for a bit. If not you can probably just reapply.
