N9ii is heavier than the jet speed 12. If I'm not wrong, the n9ii is 88g. Not sure about the jet speed 12. Like I said, both weight and balance point of n9ii is higher than jet speed 12
I had a chance to test N55 III for a week. This is a test racket with BG80P string at 24x26 (based on the stringer). Coming from AS 11, this racket feels really heavy with BP around 312 (+-2 mm). I dont know the average weight, since I dont have a scale. It is a stiff racket in my opinion, comparable with my AS 11 (maybe a bit stiffer). The feeling upon contact with a shuttle is solid and really nice, better than AS 11. And if you miss hit the shuttle, you can tell since the solid feeling is gone. Testing around 6 hours on courts in total throughout the week, I can tell that this racket is solid. It is really easy to do clears and backhand clears from end to end. I am not really good at backhand clear,s but this racket provides me enough beef to send the shuttle out. Comparing with my AS 11, I just do ok on backhand clear with that. Drives and controls are nice. Relatively fast and easy to manoeuvre remembering that this racket is so heavy. Playing net is really nice as well, since I can feel where the head is and the racket is stiff. Smashing with this racket is really something else. Not only because it provides me a powerful smash, but also because the sound it produces is really amazing. Satisfying boooom You can tell that this racket gives you a nice sound by just doing clears. However, there are several factors that made me not want to buy this racket. This racket is quite demanding. After 2 hours non-stop playing, my shoulder and arm are so tired. One time, I had to change to JS10 4u because I could not play properly anymore with this racket (and was so tired). It is a bit difficult for me to play with this racket during a fast pace game if I am on the defending side. If you love to smash/drop and play on the back court, I believe this racket is really good. When it comes to the front court, I think you might need to have a good posture and enough strength to wield this properly. Please note that I never tested it to play double as I was afraid that I would clash it with my partner.
n9II is quite close to n99, with the n99 being (slightly) lighter and having a (slightly) stiffer shaft.
Yeah... That's why in dilemma. I've tried N99, fast and powerful and felt light. Only thing is weaker on backhand lifts, maybe have to adjust on the timing as I felt the sweetspot smaller. Need some opinion on the N9II if someone owns both.
Been using N99 for the past few months and loving it. I play only doubles and I love it for being fast and powerful. Thinking of getting another LN racket. What would you guys recommend? The N9ii looks tempting.
Yeah the n9II is good for doubles. It is slightly stiffer, so flat drives will be easier, providing you have a strong wrist. Smashes are also good, more forgiving. Although accuracy of the smash is so-so.
The N99 is quite flexible compared to most Yonex rackets (FB/VT80E/ZF2/ARC-ZS), I do not consider it stiff.
yeah that should be so, i have the first gen N9 and it difinitely is medium-stiff. About N99 - i was curious, coz on paper it looked close to N9. I know a guy, who is a pro player and sells li-ning stuff here, he said that n99 was quite different in feel from the N9, and he didn't really like the N99, felt dull to him and difficult to extract power. The N9 on the other hand he quite likes. Talking bout first gen n9 here but i suspect the second onne should be very close
For LN standards the N99 is very stiff, maybe the stiffest they ever released. Of course it's not as stiff as the extra stiff ZFII or VT80ET, but I think it's stiffer than the FB and the quite flexible Z-Slash (I know YY states otherwise).
