Dont quite agree with that, I think the ZFii is significantly stiffer. Haven't tested the N99, but from the feel at the shop I thought it would be stiffer...ah well.
But you dont need super powerful arms to play with it, I'm doing fine so far

 

yeah, true that. But I believe N80 II and N99 have more or less the same weight. So same weight + same BP, but somehow N80 II seems "head heavier" than N99 at least on the chart.

 

Do you own an N99? It is not a true head heavy racquet, BP strung is about 304mm.

 

I don't know if you guys are talking about the head weight or the overall weight because apart from manufacturing variations they are all 3U rackets and should weigh about the same, right?

 

I dont really own it. It is a test racket with a lining overgrip. The BP is around 295mm +- 2mm.
I am planning to buy either N99 or N80 II, but atm the store does not have a N80 II test racket

 

Hahaha, true that. I feel dejavu now, I think I already asked a similar question a while back.

 

I demoed the N80II and it really reminds me of my ZFII 3U. I would say that they are very similar racquets. N99 is better for defending and maneuvering while the N80II is better for attack.

 

Not all 3U must have the same weight - I believe manufacturing standards shouldve gotten to a point where the target weight should have a 1g tolerance, so a light 3U and a heavy 3u racket could -on average- have a 3g difference and still remain 3u whilst in that tolerance....and a 3g difference is a lot, comparable to a 10mm BP difference.
But actually I find it more likely that someone copied wrong stats somewhere
But yeah, I see the same listed. But afaik, LN stats were always a bit on the unhelpful side, I think the first gen had a lot of 295 rackets, didnt it?
Ah well, rest assured that the N99 is definitely not quite as heavy as the N80ii and the N80ii is not as stiff as the ZFii

 

I don't think the ZF2 is that stiff, I feel the head moving around alot. By the way, 3U can mean anything between 95-100g strung with LN.

 

I know. Ive had 10 LN rackets currently on 3 N80ii which are very similar, so either QC is good or I'm lucky

Haha well we dont have the numbers necessary to determine which case is more common but I can only ever be sure about my experience, which has been very good indeed - same model racketd were always pretty similar, with one N90 being the only exception in that it felt much lighter without the numbers being that extraordinary. But that was a great divergence from the norm as that made it a great doubles racket for me

 

Yeah, my N99 is insanely good at doubles!

Any full review about n9ii and n7ii? About speed, drive, smash, net area, and also hows its compare to zfii? Looking lining racket after mu victor was broken
