The R4X strings are nice performing but don't have much durability relative to BG66.

NBG98 has tremendous repulsion but it's not easy to control.

Thanks for the offer, would love to play but can't. Still working on the warehouse.

    How's R4X 0.70 mm?

    NGY 98 should be Kwun's favourite :D.

R4X100 is a superb string and i strongly recommend it to anyone. The control of is good and the sound is very nice. I am not so sure why there is certain forumer say that this string is not durable at all. It serve me for more than 10 hours rite now and still counting. The tension does not lose that fast. R4X200 is better compare to BG 66 but if you want more power you should try R4X100. I will crown it as king of all string. Hmm. One more tips when buying this string. My regular sport house tell me to use the PATTERN String and not to use the white colour without the pattern as it is not durable. So far i have not try the white colour plain string but the pattern R4X100 still in good condition. I start to change all my racket from BG66 to R4X100..For your information, I am using Fischer Magnetic Pro 83 strung at 28 Ilbs and Yonex Amortec 300 strung at 28 Ilbs.

I've seen some .64mm in the market, but i never had a mind to try one.Hehe..waste of money?Since they cost around genuine yonex strings..So,unless it's very good n for a competition,i won't even bother to buy one.

I agree r4x100 is a powerful string but only for 1~2 hours of play. It looses tension very easily in my case. Strung at 26 lbs initially but now feel like 22 lbs. I'm going back to BG66.

I dont understand why ppl bother to string it at the recommended tension and after that says it breaks fast, doesnt have durability and bla blah.
    Gosen recommends 20 -24LBS.For goodness sake,READ!

Gosen and Yonex both recommends thick, 0.70mm strings for hard-hitting men .. and thin, high-performance strings for ladies :p

I have tried this R4X100 type, indeed the repulsion is simply fantastic, IMHO, subjectively more repulsive than Yonex BG-66. I'm still using it, it has been going for about 3 hrs of playing time and a week since stringing, strung it at 26-24 lbs on Hart Infinite Nano Wipe Power 76. I don't feel excessive tension loosening, it's comparable to BG-66. I'm not a hard hitter, and from the look of it after the afromentioned playing time, the string seems decent enough durability wise for my taste.

Considering the price is cheaper than BG-66 by a third, i find this string very2 satisfying.

In my opinion, all the strings in the R4X series are great. To me, the durability of the R4X100 isn't too bad. It lasted about a month before they snapped. They were strung at 25lbs and I smash quite a bit. Panda, have you tried the new R4XMomone and R4XTsuyoshi?

I have been using the old version R4x100 for a period and was contented with its great performance. I got the new version R4x100 with coating for this time.

    R4X100 with coating
Power: ok power, a little worse than BG66
Control: Shuttle slips away from the string. No grip at all.
Repulsion: Need a lot more power to hit the shuttle back.
    Overall performance: Ass sucking

I think I would never buy R4x again if there are no old version available.

Whew, the post from 7.5 years ago. R4X100 has served me well through out the last few years, but currently, my favorite Gosen string are R4X Ryubi (0.66 gauge) and G-Tone 5 (0.65 gauge). The Ryubi has crazy repulsion rate & power (though a bit lacking in durability, in YY BG-66 level of durability), while G-Tone 5 is a tension keeper, guitar like sound, and very nice control string with great durability, though the power is just so-so.

Much more comfortable with the R4x100 rather than R4x200. Even with G Tone 5 & 9.
R4x100 gives more Power and better control to Nett play as I'm a allround player. Feeling like holding crackers in hand :D

Mas bro, you don't experience excessive tension loss or extremely weak durability on the latest version/batch production of R4X100, right ? I still like this particular Gosen string type, but it's rather difficult to find nowadays in Pasar Pagi Jakarta, where i use to string my rackets. We have R4X110, R4X200, R4X Momone, R4X Ryubi, but no R4X100. :(
