What i can say about the bg 66 ultimax , is that it produce Loud and power ful smashes. Durbaility wise 6. But when the string is at its peak its the best string you can ever have.

Is Nanogy 98 a good string for recreational play? I am looking for a good power and durable string that will last me about an year. Currently I am using voltric 5 with factory string for last 3 month. I want to upgrade.

I am currently playing with a voltric 5 which is factory strung with BG55 (it's a bit like BG65 I think). If i would change to Nanogy 95 or BG80, would that cause me to hit the shuttle out more often because of the higher repulsion?

Am using BG68ti(which is similar) on my voltric 5 @24lbs and I play plastic shuttle. It is good for playing, but the string position moves on hitting the shuttle hard.
Planning to try BG66UM next! :)

I would recommend the BG66UM, had it strung to my Arc11 at 24lbs. recently, no complaints at all. the sound it produces is sharp..

Don't worry about adjusting to the new string unless the tension is much different. It's not too difficult to adjust to new string after a good warm up. ;)

I agree, because it also varies based on how often a person plays in a week, how hard they hit and etc. There's no average.

Just got a Apacs Lethal 10 last week and strung with BG66 at 25 lbs. I found it was too much repulsion and less accurate control than my previous racket Flypower Natuna 02 (same string, same tension but lighter - about 83g), although it generates more power too.

The same force that I apply to the Apacs Lethal 10 and previous racket felt quite different especially when I hit back, mainly facing too much repulsion on defending from a smash and less accuracy.

Is restring it with higher tension (27lbs) and/or restring with other string (need suggestions, eg. BG66UM) would help?

    Racquet Specs:
    APACS Lethal 10 Specifications
    Frame Material:
Hi Modulus Graphite + High Speed Frame + CNT
Shaft Material: Hi Modulus Graphite + CNT
    Flex: Medium
    Weight: 85 +/- 1g (4U-G2)
    Length: 675mm
    Max Tension:
    36lbs - Vertical
    38lbs - Horizontal
    Balance: 285 +/- 3mm
    Grommet: 76 Holes

lethal flexibility is off the charts, so a thicker string with higher tension would work. i had a lethal 8 and i used to string gosen gpro70 at around 28lbs. or a vs890 at around 26lbs.

Oh, do you think a Yonex BG65Ti could help too?

i have tried bg65ti pink color with lethal 8.
feel was okayish, but nothing special. yes, it will wean out any extra repulsion youre experiencing.
