The NR900 is a good racket (have 2 of them) but it's no NS9900 (had 2 of them as well). No string will make the NR900 play like or better than the NS9900 in my opinion. The NS9900 was my racket of choice and would still be if I had any left! Best doubles racket I've ever played with.

My current favourite string for the NR900 is the Aerosonic.

There are plenty of good rackets and it's different for every individual.

I used to love vtzf4u but it's too rare nowadays. I regret not stocking up extra few.

I transit to NR900 and doing so good so far. I currently own 3 of it now. 2 normal and 1 hendra. Probably getting another hendra

I found my SE version relatively headlighter compared to the original version.
No wonder sometimes I found myself loving the original version, the other time the SE version.

Although the gap are simply 1 finger or slightly more apart...

Hi guys .... Just bought a brand new NanoRay900 Setiawan model two weeks ago from Singapore's SunriseClick.com special offers @ $125 excluding string ... it's a superb good buy really..... the next day Sunriseclick raise the price to $185 until today .

for the first time last Tuesday , i tried it .

Goodness me , it's such a light head racket but with a relatively powerful razor like smashes , quite bizarre for a light racket . It's much more powerful than my favourite most frequent used racket Vt 80 PG

The baseline was as good as my old Ti-10 ( broke it ) , another of my current racket Z-Force 1 .

The dropshots i made was crispy and quick , the light head make it so easy to mask my dropshots . My team mates a few of them didn't know the dropshots was coming ........

The reason why i bought this , because i trying to find a racket that can perform as good as the discontinue VT 80PG ..... and i finally found one , not exactly the same feel , but close , very close .

It was quite a stiff shaft racket ..... stiffer than Z force 1 , i never had a racket with such a stiff shaft .

Offensively ..... the light head racket make me looked good playing those net pressing game which i usually not so good at it .

Overall ..... i think it will soon taking over VT 80 PG as my main racket ... and retired the cracked VT80PG , hairline crack ( not broken yet )

I didnt expect Nano900 was that good seriously .... i expected something like NanoSpeed 7700 ..... but no , far far better than NanoSpeed .

Totally different feel ....... the feel its like Voltric 80 more or less , like a stiffer shaft VT 80PG .

for those who hesistate ... buy or not buy this nanoray 900 ?

Trust me ...... buy it !!!

I am telling you ...... i had a few regrets purchasing different rackets , this is no regrets .

    Nanoray900 is NOT headlight!

    Balancepoint: 305mm -> slight head-heavy... like Arcsaber11

Imho, it is near even balance. Just because you used to play w zf original, it does not make nr900 head light. Stop sucking helium.

My NR900 weighted 285mm with overgrip over original grip + plastic. Slightly head heavy 295mm is something i am expecting, 305mm is too much I think, you play with bare wood handle?

For a good comparison, you should only measure with factory grip + string.

    Nanoray900: 305mm
    Arcsaber11: 306mm
    Jetspeed12: 306mm

Thats all even-balance or slight head-heavy.

    Voltric Z-Force2: 318mm -> head heavy
Victor Hypernano X Air 286mm -> head light

Directbadminton says 305mm and yonex chart near even balance... NOT headlight!

Yeah, suck enough He2 will make you headlight too. So, if yonex tell you Xmm balance is even balance, X-1mm is head light by definition. But can you tell the difference between 1mm balance point?
Stop drinking the coolaid and practice more.

    1. Stop the personal attacks. Just because the evidence of a picture where Yonex wrote headlight is poor, doesn't mean you should start personally attacking someone.

    2. The definition of headlight is unclear.
The first common definition (yours) follows the Yonex chart. This implies NR900 is even balance/slight HH, and rackets like NS9900 would be considered headlight.
The problem with that definition is that almost no semi-pro or above use rackets that fit in the headlight category by the first definition. Thus by the second definition, even balance rackets are now 'headlight', head heavies are 'even' and the ZF's are 'head heavy'.

Mine (old colour) came today - thanks, Winston!

Balances at 288, quick frame. So far so good. Seems strong as well... I'll try 32/33 next session.
