I have more speed/reflex than LCW of 2017. Maybe I should register for a BWF tourney just so I can be player #2671 to beat him before he finally decides to retire.

Either LCW is facing a crisis of confidence or his decline is accelerating at age 35, or, worse, both.

I agree with Nine Tailed Fox, let him take a short break for the rest of the year and, hopefully, start 2018 recharged, refreshed, and rejuvenated. Maybe, one last hurrah for LCW next year.

Good for Ginting. As LCW loses, I expect him to reach the SF this week

LCW should just take a break and focus on TUC and Asian Games next year though, then retire in glory after taking his first gold medal ever (hopefully)

Hopefully the junior players from Malaysia can replace Lcw 1 day.. before he suffer more defeats due to the incompetence of his teammates...

Hafiz Hashim didn't help, same as all the player from his batch, really useless.
All expectations is on LCW while his teammates just doesn't have any thing to prove.

Nishimoto is nice, but nothing remarkable.

LCW promised to attend the next all England, but at this rate it might not be worth the wait.

LCW should have retired at the MalaysiaOpen this year. (like LeeYongDae at Korea)

I was there and he was brilliant up till the final. whyOhwhy. Would have been the perfect stage and he was good then.

Haven‘t seen the match yet but I think Chong Wei is a confidence player. Remember that confidence crisis before he beat Axelsen at the French Open few years ago?

I'm more referring to how Taufik isn't 'late'.

God, Kashyap is useless as well. Another player who should just give up on badminton.

    Players who should retire:
    • Lee Chong Wei
    • Son Wan Ho
    • Parupalli Kashyap

Why is LCW playing tournament after tournament at the ripe old badminton age of 36?

What is he trying to prove?

Chen Long can smell a trophy here. His trophy drought needs to be over.

Strange performances from SWH and LCW, especially the latter
