Almost all other players are taller than KSS haha

Kevin said himself in an interview that he will play along if someone provoke him or trying to play mind game. He used to be quite intense with Boe, but not so much now since Boe didn't do such things anymore with Kevin. Now it seems like it's Liu's turn haha

They glare at each other few times but I don't really know why Kevin seems like quite upset in that final game.

Probably because they got blown out in that first game, really must have stoked his fire :D
I call BS on the 'only playing along' btw, I've seen matches where he does it without the opponent ever doing anything even remotely resembling provocation :D

Kevin: Targeting me won't get their glory back. I knew the players wouldn't go down without a fight, but this is different. They crossed the line.
Coach: You crossed the line first, Kevin. You squeezed them, you hammered them to the point of desperation. And in their desperation, they turned to a man they didn't fully understand.

I thought Kevin/Marcus almost always won vs Li/Liu's? I was playing badminton during the final and didn't even bother to watch the final since I already assumed they would win vs Li/Liu (I already watched half of the 1st set ytd though, might finish the match today).

Vs Zhang Nan, Kevin/Marcus could win when they focused their attack on Liu. I think Zhang Nan is probably the only competing player that can match Kevin at the net.

I noticed matches vs Boe/Mog are always the most difficult. Not only they are smart, have good defense, Boe/Mog also do not let Kevin's antics get under their skin.

I don't remember him doing that against chai/hong ? I mean I know he's always being rude to his opponent but he seems to always have something extra against li/liu, before yesterday he also does that in hongkong open sf.

and I don't think his rude behaviour has something to do with opponent, I've seen him many many times being an a**h*le without any reason whatsoever. how on earth that indonesia have the most classy and respectful MD player of all time (hendra setiawan) and the rudest player of all time (kss) at the same time ?

Our govt did not allow Chinese language or culture to be taught until Presiden Abdurrahman Wahid became President. Soeharto purposedly 'converted' most of us by not allowing anything Chinese, except temples n chinese traditional medicines. So how do u expect us to speak+write when it was forbidden for over 30yrs? :(

    Could be haha
Last year MD rivalry was KevGid vs BoeMo. I think this year would be KevGid vs LiLiu vs KamSon.

he is rude against rude opponent

he is polite against polite opponent

watch marcus/kevin against the japanese at japan open 2017 final for example

was he rude in that match?

no. because the opponent was not rude

no, because they know the japan opponents can't win them, thus they just go on play relax and win...

But why can't he just rise above it in the first place and not react to it if he is indeed just reacting to his opponents.
Just as GC says during her commentary he's clearly an outstanding player there is really no need to add the 'show boating'. You don't see any of this from FHF or LYD and many other great MD players.

So I for one don't believe that it's an 'reaction' and would lean towards to the thought he usually instigates these situations.

his show boating is funny to me, not rude

even gill clark laughs when he does that

so he is a funny badminton player

unlike fu or lee or hendra
