I'm so confused. so is it harmful to remove the black strip on the 80 e tune. My friend told me it is the reason why the 80ET felt so bulky and slow
No, you can just pull them out. Doesn't matter if the grommet is flared, it will bend back a little as you pull it out. You don't have to cut the grommets or any of that nonsense.
What's a flared grommet? And what do you mean it will bend a little. Sorry, I'm a little new when it comes to racket technology
I'm not sure if this thread is still active, but I'm wondering if you can use the grommets of the vt80etune for other racquets. Wondering I could use the weighted red u-grommets of the throat area on a lighter racquet to make it slightly heavier
As long as the holes line up I don't see why not, I've never compared these strips hole spacing against other rackets, so who knows if Yonex did something specific so they can't be re-used easily?
I do not know yonex 's special grommet parts can fit for other racket or not, but I had tried victor tk9900 top strip is workable for vt80e 我從使用 Tapatalk 的 X9079 發送
wow. now i have to get that victor strip! along with gold grommets. FYI, gold grommets havent made a real difference over red ones, just a bit of extra head weight as expected due to an extra pair of gold grommet, but no speed up experienced over red grommets. its all the same. Isnt bad, still powerful.
