That's classic Momota. That's how he has always played. It's what I enjoy the most and why I love watching him.

An artist at work. He doesn't smash unnecessarily but he definitely does when a proper opportunity arises.

I guess it does seem that way. With the singles' games concentrating more on tactical play and carefully choosing to smash only when opportunity becomes most lethal or beneficial.

I don't know why people can't grasp that a 3u HH racket is still very maneuverable for a professional player. He doesn't play with a 4u because he obviously prefers heavy rackets (and head weight is not only for smashing, it gives a more solid feel which helps controlling the rally).

It's all Jan O Jorgensen's fault haha. He broke the mould by choosing 4U for his VT80ETN.

Can anyone comment if the 3U 88D has a less concentrated head heaviness than 3U ZF2?

yes, it feels more like a 4u vt80etune HH rather than being a 3u zf2 hh

IKR. It's not like he's a poor specimen of physical fitness.

Not only dry swung it but used it and provided an insighful review. Check a few posts back on this same thread and a lot of discussions have transpired since a few days back☺
