Where To Play In Calgary?

    Canadian-Indonesian Badminton Club (Drop in fee $6)
    Fridays:
    (7:00pm to 11:00pm)
    Hillhurst Community Centre
    5th Ave & 14th St. N.W.
    plastic shuttles provided

    Mount Royal Badminton Club
    Sunday Evenings:
    (4:00pm to 8:00pm) sep to april (no summer season)
    4 pm to 8pm may to aug
    Mount Royal College
    * Stanley Gym *

    8$ drop, shuttles not provided.

    University of Calgary Badminton Club (Drop in fee $5)
    shuttle not provided
    Tuesdays / Fridays / Sundays:
    Tuesdays @ 8:30pm - 10:30pm
    Fridays @ 7:30pm - 10:30pm
    Sundays @ 1:00pm - 4:00pm
    U of C Campus Gold and Red Gym
    Season is from Sept. to May

    i know it's not a club or anything.

    but i think one of the closest to 17th ave sw would have to be the talisman centre. there's no drop in but the new gyms are a great facility.

    still a ~ $8 drop in, and u dunno who and how many people will be playing badminton. ALso, u have to book the court too. I doubt u can book the 'new section'. The regular court have poor lighting, white roof, white walls. Next to the 2 official size swimming pools, u will feel more humid than playing in SE asia.

    Thanks a lot for all your help Cooler, i actually live on the NW corner hehe.

    most likely once i get a car i am going to drop by the indonesian club. I'm still not familiar with the roads yet either. The grid is weird!!

    I am new to Calgary, and I live in the downtown area. Want to play some badminton, but too bad YWCA won't take me.....TOO MANY PPL. Since there hasn't been an update so a year or so, if there is any place u guys can reccomend, plz plz do so. THanx

    Mount Royal has started up again until the end of June. Sundays 4-8pm.

    Well, john is still there he can't play yet though, he injured himself about 4 months ago. but you want to come to vslc i'll be happy to play with you
