Yeah.. kind of agree with you. When they are good they thrive, but when they are not they are easily down.
I think this was actually a very clever MD setup from the Danish coaches. This way they achieved: - Two front court specialists vs. Kamura/Sonoda. - Boe in MD1. - An established MD in MD2 (Kim/Anders). - Avoided Mads/Mads vs. Kamura/Sonoda. Mads/Mads lost five of their last six encounters.
Congrats for DEN pair. So CHN 1 - 1 INA, DEN 1 - 1 JPN That's Kamura/Sonoda weakest point I guess, when they run out ideas they just lose their way.

True. Furthermore, Boe and Conrad are both much better at flat and fast exchanges which is precisely what the Japanese are good at. Take out the speed and they have nothing much in it.
