Agreed! Most of the things are pretty similar but there is a change in steepness and a small flick of his wrist produced really steep and powerful shot
Yonex psycho game strong. I didn’t watch him play in WC yet, but I would say that he improved, the racket is just marginal. Meaning that you can’t see any difference in game (drives faster, drops tighter, smash harder etc etc) Meh. No offense, just my thoughts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I watched a few minutes of Momota. I think he is the same. He could do this with the A88D as well. Let's see further when he goes full power smash to know.
I definitely agree that AX99 is probably just an incremental update to 88D, then there will be another incremental update with a full namd compact frame for more sales.
Ok watched the full game of Momota. No difference from the A88D lol. Could be he was using the A99 before we know it XD
At the AX88 thread you’re already controlled by yonex marketing, and now you’re trying to suppress yourself? Just be it. You’re already sold. No offense, just amazed by how well the yonex team marketing is doing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hahah. No, Yonex marketing only tempted me. Momota and @swsh made the difference. Having used it, I can defo confirmed that it is the best racket ever, the A88D that is. But to reply to an earlier post saying that Momota's shots are more powerful etc., I do not agree with the post because Momota's play is the same. And I watch him over and over again. Having said the above, I am in no way saying that the A99 is not more powerful than the A88D. I myself said above that it could very well be more powerful than the A88D because of the full NAMD. But it was at no point reflected in Momota's game. Sorry for the confusion. #YonexisthebestthoughsaywhatyouwantXD
Thread, not post. Reading is key. Ginting...not smashing hard...compared to zf2, rung any bells? I have to point out that if you think he’s not hitting hard, he’s not. Nothing to deal with the racket. It’s him that is not hitting hard, even with any other racket out there. I’m just fooling around with you. Anyway, I can’t stress this more enough, if the racket makes you think you’re hitting better, makes you feel better psychologically, or even makes you think that XXX that is using this racket hits way harder than they usually do, it means that it has done 99% if it’s job, making the end customer feel good. Doesn’t matter if it’s actually hurting your game, nor the other way around, it has done its job. Cheers! Please don’t let me ruin your mood of buying ax99 =D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you can handle 3U, then the 3U will be a beast for doubles. I don't see any particular reason to need 4U. If can't handle, get 3U 88S.
I read you correctly. I know what i've said on the A88D thread and what was posted by someone else on the A99 thread. The move from VZF2 to A88D can't be compared to the move from A88D and A99! It's like comparing 2 cousins and then comparing twins. Correct. That's what was happening when I was playing with D10 and VZF2 (these two rackets I was utterly caught by marketing of Yonex). But the A88D is THE perfect racket! I even called it my girlfriend once on the A88D thread xD Yeah i'll read the reviews carefully. Else I'll buy another A88D.
Yes this all could be marketing goodies that yonex puts out, what I meant was that the difference between the astrox and other line is alittle noticeable, I am not sure if this happened to anyone that started using 88 but with the same stroke I feel the racket consistently pressing downwards. So I do somewhat believe the technology behind astrox line. But in the end I am all up for “depends on player skill level” idea. Sorry for my earlier post and caused some confusion maybe even some conflict
I completely agree that Astrox 88 feels completely different to other such as Duora or Voltric. The speed and maneuverability!
I wonder if the Astrox 99 4U will have the same feeling as the LDF 4U, but if its stiffer than i would assume not the case. Since LDF is already out of production I hope this is a viable replacement for it, waiting for this to compare to the Li Ning N7II before deciding which to purchase
