Never good for my heart to watch minions play. Especially their first match of anything.. the new minions seem to not work as efficiently to play Inoue/Kaneko though it worked against Kamura/Sonoda or Li/Liu.

Thought I was gonna weep myself to sleep because Zhang Nan has lost earlier and thought Kevin would have to.

No one can win Asian Games and World Championship at the same year in MS and WS. Even Lin Dan realized that and he decided to sacrifice World Championship in 2010 and 2014.

Congratz to both MD for a thrilling play. My heart almost missed a beat. Please don't do that again, Minions. Bad for my heart. Phew...

You never know how Indonesia (home) crowds pressure or reaction lol. Many players have played worse than they would have away.
But anyway I was just joking about the home advantage, SYQ was simply just not good enough.:D:D:p

Momota's stamina is untested because he always moves less than his opponent, just like Lin Dan. It is not his stamina that is superior but his ability to read his opponent's shots.
This is different from Tommy and Son Wan Ho who heavily rely on their stamina to win their matches.

In the Paris WC'10, both Lin Dan and LCW were unexpectedly knocked out at the quarterfinals, a rare coincidence for them in the same major event during their heydays.

But in 2014, Lin Dan didn't get a wild card to play the WC'14 as his world ranking after taking another long break from winning the WC'13 didn't qualify him.

So, logically speaking, we can't draw such a conclusion from just one incident.

I think Ong/Teo have a fighting chance, slightly better than Goh/Tan's. Still it's quite possible, I won't rule out the two MAS MD.

Haha I know exactly what you mean, it was only R3 so far from Final but yet it felt like one. And we will never know how Ginting will do after this :D

Looks like Li/Liu will have the easiest MD QF, already confirmed SF spot.

If they didn't get through to SF, they should give up their World Champion crown immediately.
