On what tension and type of string is your new AX-99 (congrats!) and your old zforce2 strung?

I have a zforce2 3uG5, 4uG4 and 3uG4 strung on 13kg (1string2knots pattern). I would like to know how you like to sound, touch and feel of the stringbed.

My new astrox is strung at 29 lbs on aerobite strings. My old zforce was strung bellow 22 lbs nanogy 95 (b/c of a crack). It is definitely a big difference. Idk if the better repulsion, sound and control come from the new frame or the new strings.

Is the only difference/benefit/feature between 88d and 99 is the swing speed due to namd all the way?

I bought 88d for 179usd, so wondering if worth to move to 99 since I can still return 88d.

so that AX99 has less stiff shaft & ultra stiff frame.
& it's clear that Yonex chart is refering to shaft stiffness.
The actual product seems to be identical in terms of weight distribution to AX88D.
That is off from the chart. I guess there might be some tweak of spec after the chart was released.

I think from limited feedback so far I can go out on a limb and equate the AX88D to a VT80ETN (without bulky fat parts on) and AX99 to the original VT80.

Racquet Force has measured the 4U swing power at a beastly 90 kg, while the 3U is at 94 kg!?!? That's crazy!

BP was over 320mm! Surely that's ZF2 territory, if not ZF1!

    For reference, 3U 88D is 89.5kg, 4U 88D is 86.5 kg while 4U 77 is 87.5 kg.

What??? That is insane! Did they measure the swing weight of the good old ZF2 as reference too?

Tried both ZF2 and 99 4UG5 side by side. I can definitely feel that the 99 is head heavier and stiffer than the ZF2 big margin.

Are you sure? AX99 is listed as "stiff" and ZFII is listed as "extra stiff" by yonex. I thought Namd would help make AX99 more flexible than ZFII

That is my personal feeling from playing ZF, ZF2 and 99. All are 4UG5.
    Your feeling could be different.
Who is to say that the extra stiff then could just be stiff now by current standards. Given that stiffness feeling fluctuates.
Unless there is a RA index where everything can be measured and backed up by facts and figures.

You are right. Im just a little distressed that you felt AX99 to be even stiffer than ZFII, because I ordered AX99 thinking it will be a little more flexible and less burdensome than my ZFII.

I'll post when I get my AX99 (who knows when that will be... the rakuten shop I ordered from seems swamped with orders)

I am also using a 3UG5 ZF2 at the moment for training. I was stunned that the 4UG5 version of 99 can top that in terms of weight feeling.
