My question is why people are including politicians for sports.

Sports should be free of politics. Even in India, one of the member of the current ruling party is BAI chief.

The answer is quite simple really, just that politicians have bigger funds.
Not condoning it, but BAM needs funds to develop their programs and structures, and sponsor from government is
    really helpful in their cause.

This is a hot seat, which means condemnation is inevitable, no matter who is in power. Failed to bring good result, and your head goes chop.

I don't think it's a troll..maybe people don't have confident in him because of no history in that area.
Misbun/Yap Kim Hock is more well known name in management to be honest.

managing misbun will be his biggest obstacles, much like a new guy joining a company and many seniors where they are there way before you.

I don't know.. I always preferred coach to bit enthusiast...

Like Rexy time when he coach KKK/TBH...
    Current Denmark Coach
And China coach (the one with high pitch voice)

I felt really pump watching them..and the spirit can be channeled to player on the court too..

For some reason I find Choong Hans appointment very positive. I am very hopeful this time around. I was not so optimistic when Morten Frost was chosen. Hopefully my gut instinct is correct this time too

The 2019 BAM Coaching Set-up consist of 12 coaches after they didn't extend some coaches' contract plus 1 coach resigned.

Last week, the BAM announced that they did not extend the contracts of high-profile coaches - Cheah Soon Kit (men’s doubles), Rony Agustinus (women’s singles), Sairul Amar Ayob (men’s singles) and Lim Pek Siah (women’s doubles). Their contracts end on Dec 31.

Singles coach Zhou Kejian has resigned from the BAM, making him the fifth coach to leave the national fold in just 10 days.

The BAM are expected to save some money with the recent trimming exercise as their budget for 2019 has been tightened.

    Yeah, pretty much.
The senior player's era are already gone.
Only the junior players remains, like Lee Zii Jia, and other young players. The cycle toward 2020 is looking dark and grim.
I think maybe by 2024 or 2028 Olympic, we might have a few credible players.

None of them. Literally noone goes close to the level of momota, shi yuqi, axelsen. Lcw blew it when lin dan handed him a chance in the finals the last olympic. I think it was pretty obvious, lin dan doesnt make mistakes like those, not in those big stages haha
