The only chen with 2018 WC gold is Liu Yuchen since the other real Chen family names was not in the Final.

 

It was proved the other way somehow. Asia Champion and World Champion title are his achievement in 2018 so far.

 

I guss it just turned out to be completely opposite of your WC Prediction about your TOP 4.
TTY "YET AGAIN" fell to her QF Jinx and RI was shown her way out of QF by SN and NO and AY Both Japanese Powerhouses were Shown their way by PVS on Consecutive days..So Unfortunately none of them got neither their Twice WC or in TTY's case not even Once.

Whereas what actually happened is that CM and PVS made history for themselves CM being only WS to win 3 GOLDS and PVS for winning 3 Major Consecutive Silvers with both of them with the highest no. of WC Medals CM - 3 and PVS - 4

CYF on the other hand didnt get to make past QF.

I think you forgot to mention HBJ who was the reason why TTY couldnt win her first MAJOR MEDAL.

i only count tournaments wt500/ss and higher, those with top committed player requirements. wt300/gp gold tournaments and lower are, in essence, used as a regional and developmental circuit by member associations. look at the past and present draws. top local players usually play to support it, but rarely do top foreigners enter.

 

I consider ss premium as s1000 and s750, 5 now 8, ss as s500, the same 7

WS - TTY will no doubt remained as world number 1 player till the end. She already has 4 titles of WT500+ plus Asian Games gold medal and BAC. For your next significant players, only NO won 2 titles until now. RI won one WT500 while AY only won one WT300. None of those four players won WC title, it is CM who won it. CM already has 2 WT500+ title, WC, and Badminton Europe Championships. If TTY is back to her best and CM continues her best form, it is difficult for others to win the remaining titles this year.

WD - Enough said. JPN practically won 2/3 of all World Tour titles until now. JPN dominates in every level.

XD - Zheng/Huang will continue to dominate. They have won 4 WT500+titles, WC, Asian Games. I can't see any threats from other pairs. JPN has one pair in the top 10 while KOR has none.

MD - Trust me. Minions will win 7 WT500+ titles. They only need 2 titles now as they have won 5 WT500+ titles and Asian Games.

MS - Your prediction is already off at this moment. VA only won one WT500 and Badminton Europe Championships. VA can't even take one game from KM this year. KS's performance is horrible compare to last year. KM quickly dominates this category and won WC title. Right now, only AG can stop KM, provides that AG is in his best form.

 

So we.are.at the end of 2018 season, how did the prediction goes? Any guess for 2019? LCW and LD have any part to play?

 

Who cares... We are into Momota and Ginting these days ... kinda..

 

Looking at the last tournament, it seems most top players are quite close. It is anybody game and who played better on that day. I don't think anyone single player or pair can be assured to win but just who is more consistent.
