You'll like the TK-F too. A bit stiffer and more accurate.

Yah, less user friendly because stiff shaft needing more user input. 88D much more user friendly.

No no. I really mean its less powerful overall to me. User friendliness is a joke when one uses an SW35 and MX80

Lol... Ok, ultimately less powerful than 88D because also less head heavy too.

Box frame beats that funky tri hybrid frame any day for energy transfer IMO.

Guys can you help, I mainly play doubles don't mind a bit slight head heavy intermediate advance play with original VT70 4U, MX80N 3U/4U, Arcsaber 11. Looking for something with power but also great and not slow with defence.

    Looking to get the 88D 4U or 88S 4U.

If I went the Astrox88D 4U would this be too head heavy like the original VT70 or more like the VT80 (too heavy for me).

How does this compare to the above rackets I normally use, looking to buy today.

    Thanks

    Lol... Yumo.ca Cyber Monday sale?

4U 88D would be right in between 4U VT70 and 3U Arc 11 in terms of head heaviness. Fast but still can hit quite hard.

Wow thanks. So you don't think I'd get tired smashing or defending as thats what I normally do start defending more when too tired to smash as my smash isn't the biggest.

Sounds like 88S 4U might be too light like the Nano speed 9900?

Is 88S3U more like the arcsaber 11?

What's wrong with the 3U MX80N actually? Being a long time user of the MX80 platform I've found it capable of going against the VT80s smash for smash frankly. Wonders of extra stiff shaft

Nothing wrong I like the MX80N 3U/4U just can't get anymore new? 4U more for defence and less tiring but 3u is just as good.

    Is 88D 4u or 88S 3u closer to the MX80N?

Neither are even close. You're comparing rackets that are stiff at best and with more head weight to an extra stiff racket with only a bit of head weight. If you wanted something similar to the MX80N the closest that YY has is only the DZS.

But all that being said, the 4U 88D is something I would wholeheartedly endorse for a great balance of strong attack and relatively quick defence.

Do you find that you get tired with the 88D 4u during doubles smashing? When you say relatively quick on defence do you mean quicker or slower defence than the arcsaber 11/VT70?

Nope. I've experienced no fatigue doing it so far at my level at least. Better than the VT70 and at least on par with the ARC11. Perhaps even better sometimes. By better I don't mean quicker. But the quality of the shot I feel sometimes is better because of the solidity of the 88D platform.

Just get the 4U 88D! There's a reason why so many pros are using it in both singles and doubles currently.

Hmmm, hard to say. If he doesn't like it he can always sell it as there's good demand for it on the second hand market.

You should be fine with the 88D, I had no issues with it but if your partner has pre-existing conditions/injuries, this racket will not help him.

It will not tire you out like a VT80 (that would be a conditioning issue) but the 88D felt like the weight was closer to the T-Joint, below the mid-line of the racket. VT80's balance with the weight at the top of the racket.

I would suggest letting your partner try yours out first.
