Howdy I'm not just a newbie, I'm a lazy old fart in the bargain. I don't have any intention of getting hot n heavy competetive, ever. Hey I'm lucky to get the bird batted back much less anything else! But the old lady and me like to swat the thing back and forth in the front lawn fairly often. We are trying to play with dimestore toy racquets bought used and decades old from a yard sale and it's getting dismal. We lost our last birdie and had to buy some and a real bird won't fly 5 feet off the cheezy stamped "no carbon" steel racquets. I see all manner of serious racquets being discussed, but I'm looking for best playable racquet for dirt cheap. I see lots of makers doing models in the under $20 range, some under 10. Yonex and Prince and Wilson among several others. I live too far from any retail store to actually view any of these racquets and will be buying mail order only. What would you pick? yours, and thanks, Scott
