She likes the money she's getting for endorsing these rackets.

Looks like Li-Ning has a clear goal to challenge Yonex for their #1 position on a global scale. And someone high up in China has opened a big wallet to buy their way in big time. Still I wonder if especially those horrendous figures that were circulated are appropriate - especially when it comes to a mostly medium-performing KS.

Doesn't matter. KS and PV are massively popular in India. And India has a big, big population. If they can result in getting a large part of only India's badminton poplation to buy Li-Ning stuff, this marketing strategy has already worked.

Press reports hinted that the headline figure was tied to some very specific targets being met, so I presume the figures you are seeing is if KS performs like the old Lin Dan, ie. The jackpot figure on the gambling machine - which he may or may not reach. Still, nice work if you can get it.

Only if Li-Ning sells their rackets cheap.
Most Asians first question has always been "How much? " (how is it priced?)

There is a reason why Apple fails in India and China phones are loved. With Sunrise, the yonex rackets have always been more affordable. If Li-Ning allows their rackets to sold cheaper to Sunlight, maybe it stands a chance.

But then in India, LN are almost at same rate as Yonex or little cheaper . Second, I believe the QC control of LN is way higher than SP ones . Even the aero frames are quite solid .

Hey where in India are you getting LN rackets for cheaper price ?
In amazon Yonex astrox 99 costs 10,999 Rs where as LiNing 3D Caliber 900 costs 19000 Rs.

Jesus you guys.... bet those contracts have so many clauses and milestones to hit, if not it'll be an empty contract.

Anyway, nobody noticed Kevin and Ayaka testing/using the yet-to-be released Aerobite Boost at the Indo masters? Sigh.
