    Hi all,

I've been out of the game for about 10-15 years due to family, young kids, work etc. I used to play regularly in Singapore a lot. Currently, I have been back in Sydney for the last 10 years and now the kids are old enough that I want to get back into Badminton again.

Luckily I was able to reset my Badminton Central Password too !

This week, I found my old rackets in a bag from storage. I have:

    - 2 x Nanospeed 9000
    - Armotrtec 800 Offence
    - Muscle Power 99
    - Ti-10

    From memory, my favourites were
    - MP-100 (used it so much it broke in a racket clash)
    - Armortec 800 Offence
    - Ti-10

Could someone suggest a modern rackets I could buy (Yonex, Victor or others), that would be suitable for someone like me ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated it.

Wow you've got some great models of yesteryear there, which is to say if they've served you well there's almost no point in getting new ones. NS9000 s or x?

In any case you'd probably do well with AX88D

Thanks so much offbad. I'm hoping to acquire newer and update rackets in case these break.

Also my children are reaching an age they would be interested to play. I will not give these to play but worry about racket clash.

Will check out AX88D for sure. Thanks and have a nice weekend !

RE: Nannospeed 9000 - s or x ? I completely forgot. Searching my email cannot find it either but when I get the rackets back from the stringer, I will look for it. It conveys FLEX or STIFF right ? I have a feeling I went for a more stiff shaft was back then, if I strung high tension it would be like hitting bricks if I used a too stiff racket too ?

It will say on the racquet for sure

    X: extra stiff
    S: stiff

Generally yeah stiff stringbed and stiff flex will be like hitting with a plank.

    You're right !
On the racket it says Type X
One of my old playing buddies recommended 4U Astrox 99 as well.. have you used this one and how does it compare with AX88D ?

personally i felt the 4U AX99 was too head heavy and sluggish for my liking, and overall did not give a noticeable amount more power vs 4U AX88D... while 4U AX88D felt much more maneuverable in comparison.

however, your experience may very well differ.

Try something like an Arcsaber 11, a lot of people enjoy playing with this because its not difficult to use and accommodates various play styles. Its not too head heavy or head light and not too stiff either.

Hey man.. I ended up getting 4U Ax 99 and it seems to be ok, but as I've been out of the game so long, not sure what I can compare with.

My Ti-10 when the shop guy saw it cut the string immediately and told me off for using it, say its a vintage racket in good condition. Therefore i should not use it hahahaha
