Astrox FB without NAMD and made in China... hmm. Voltric FB was a highend racket. I find unhappy of Yonex.

Usually FB is not highend. They just reduce some weight and say the FB is fast (flash). Actually this Astrox FB is the lowest along the line.

Higashino use it. But I think racket clash is gonna crack. Low max tension.

Yonex is the only good guy making rackets in Japan.

Look at Victor or Lining almost 100% China. Some Victor are from Taiwan. Yonex has some from Vietnam I was told.

So I still feel Yonex has good value.

I am not sure that is true. Apart form those they stated "Made in Japan" in their brochure, others Yonex rackets are made in Taiwan and China.

Mizuno and Kawasaki are other long-established brands from Japan.

Ya I think I wasn't specific enuff with my reply. Yonex only making the newer and more expensive range in Japan.

The lower ranges are made in China too. But FB is made in Jap.

Yeah I guess they have trained more domestic skilled worker, or simply want to keep technology away from copycat neighbour.

Yonex's 'made in japan' is a very loose standard. So loose in fact that rackets 'made in japan' can't legally be sold in the EU as 'made in japan' a lot of the time. Hence on the butt cap it only says 'japan'.

Yeah Li Ning racquets are made in China but the quality is much better than Yonex.
