sorry if its been answered before. im finding the handles too big when i put even the thinnest overgrip. can i remove the stock grip and use an overgrip? or do i have to use a replacement grip?
You can absolutely use a replacement grip on the wood. Usually 50% overlap, which should result in about same thickness as a factory grip. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
You can use an overgrip directly on the wooden handle but it might feel to hard if you're used to having grip + overgrip. I would recommend using cushion wrap on the wood + overgrip to get more cushioning.
I've done this on a couple of rackets. You'll want to cover the wood with a layer of electric tape before the overgrip to stop any sweat/moisture getting to the wood.
Careful not to overdo it! *cough* 6 grams of added weight *cough* Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
