What happened to Momota? He used to steamrolled players like Praneeth, Christie like a walk in the park
Going by how the score panned out in G3, 19-16, 20-all,22-20, Momota survived a scare against Sai Praneeth.
We can't know what's really going on there, we can only speculate from the livescore or scoreline. Which could be misleading at times.
I feel like MD is more competitive nowadays unlike in the past 2 years or so where a few top pairs dominate consistently. This brings out more excitement as any random pair could make an upset on any renowned pair. Yes. They are trailing in G3
I've come to a conclusion that in badminton some pairs just can't find an answer to beat certain pairs. And it's usually when the skill level is similar...it's like they consistently lose to the same people.
Momota escaped . Considering Sai, laziest man on planet, coming so close to beating momota!. Well done. Sai is in correct track. Hope to see him as second quota MS player for india.
That is called, a clash of styles. But I disagree with the can't find an answer quote. More like, it's difficult to find the formula.
Finding formula isn't that difficult imo. The most difficult part is to actually carry it out under pressure.
I didnt see the match but I'm guessing it's the same familiar story of arisa's poor defense, being indecisive at the net topped off with yuta's random shots to the net? Yup clash of styles or whatever you'd call it. I see that happening with tan/lai watan/higas , kam/son against goh/tan or li/liu
Siril verma, who defeated Anders Antonsen and Kantaphon Wangchoroen in his junior days to reach the final of World junior championships, is nowhere to be seen on the circuit . I don't know what happened to him. Seeing Kantaphon defeating Huang Yuxiang in straight games in this tournament proves how well he developed his game.
