I have given my 88D to a sports shop here at solapur(Kukreja Sports). From the left the 3 mains look like they don't have enough tension, it is different from the ones in the center. Please rate it I just feel like cutting off the whole stringjob as I don't want the frame to deform under uneven tension Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk
Hard to tell the tension from looking at a picture, but a few things I noticed: - 1 piece stringjob voids Yonex's warranty - the stringer didn't bother to straighten the string after he was done - the tie-off at the top is at an unusual place - don't know if it's the picture but looks like the head is warped (Astrox is not supposed to be a compact head, iirc) Don't worry, it's normal that there's tension loss at the location where the knots are but normally the stringers compensate by adding more tension before doing the tie-off. I doubt you're gonna notice any difference during actual play. It's gonna even out after a few hours/days. Overall below average job from a sports shop. I'd complain because with a stringjob like that you'll lose warranty and while 'basement stringers' can do that and it usually doesn't damage the racket, an official shop should know and do better. Sloppy work.
I gave him to string it at 26x28 lbs. And this is how it is becoming. By what I could feel and as you can see in the pictures the crosses donot have that 28 lbs I ordered for the mains at periphery are simply moving with little force than those at the center. The crosses seem to move more than that. Also on the stringster app I got just 21 lbs. It has been only 2 hrs since I got it strung from him. Any suggestions now, also I apologize as I haven't given you all the details from the start Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk
Also should I remove the strings as you have that the head is warped. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk
Don‘t worry, looks alright on the last pictures. The racket will be fine, but the stringjob simply sucks. Stringster isn‘t always accurate but that‘s quite a big difference. My advice: Don‘t go there again.
The main issue is that is only shop that strings badminton racquets here in the whole town. . I am seriously thinking about getting much lower end racquets and playing with them as I don't want my expensive ones to crumble. Also because I only have to bear with this place for 4 months after that I will be moving to a different city and find someone trustworthy to give my racquets to. Thank you @Rob3rt Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk
reminds me of the old days when I was stuck in a city with no badminton stores. i went to a tennis store and they strung the racket all wrong (20 mains strings!) I ended up buying my own stringing machine.
to be honest... i wouldn't trust this stringer to do a 26/28 stringjob if he is so incompetent. just leave it and suck it up for the next 4 months.
Quite possibly hahaha, not sure why they started crosses on 8, but they did. 22x22 76 holes is the new meta.
Oh hey, they also did the mains incorrectly. They didn't bother looping back on the outside mains. I just don't know how people screw up this sort of stuff. I saw one guy who strung aerobite with the coloured string as the cross, and aerosonic as the mains.
Can you hold the middle of the shaft, and spin the handle? It should spin true. That looks warped so if it doesnt spin smoothly I'd cut it and read up on getting your own machine. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
