I currently use a Yonex nano-ray 800. It's good but it is slightly too light in my hand (it's 4UG4). Was thinking of getting NR900 but the balance isn't quite right (too close to being even-balance). Any ideas? Seems harder to find heavier head-light rackets. For what it's worth i'm an advanced player. Mens & mixed doubles.
Because you are an advanced double player I take it you are looking for a rigid shaft. I've been looking for something similar too lately and those two rackets are head-light, rigid and 3U: - Nanoray 200 aero - Victor Auraspeed 90s
I went from a Nanoray 750 to a Jetspeed 12 and never looked back. Easier to manoeuvre, hits harder, looks sexy
And your experience with NR 750? Is it really medium flexible? I am looking for allround racket (4U) with balanced point around 290 mm and medium flex (not much flex) . Thanks.
Why dont you use added weight tape like Victor power tape or Yonex power balance. Yup it was mean to alter balance to the head, but doesnt the concept is all the same, it just you put it on whole racket area instead of frame only (like shaft near cone & near t joint, some area of frame). For Victor you got 12 pcs & each 0.2gr so in total 2.4gr. Between 3U & 4U there is around 5gr different, so using 24 pcs might turn you current racket 3U. But you might want to experiment abit on where to put it on to maintain you preference balance.
I would say it was definitely more on the stiffer side then medium. It lacked any punch, smashes got like no power but insanely good at the net.
Ohhh that's right I forgot that you can't order things from online vendors and get them shipped to you.
Yeah online in the UK, do we even have shops? I haven't looked internationally, the thought of shipping costs makes it less worthwhile. Find me a decent one and I might actually afford you some respect
I rarely use smash, but power is sometimes necessary But generally seem very good for universal game... It's difficult to choose ideal racket
3U NR800 is called King of Drives, difficult to find a replacement. Also, never buy a headlight 4U rackets. They're almost always not enough 'head weight' thus lack in power for smashes.
