Do you use different rackets for single or double games?

So I am also looking for the holy grail of rackets. Went from 5Dx to Z-Force 2, with a killer smash yes, but also hurting my arm and wrist. Way too heavy for me. Then I bought A voltric 70 3U, which was superb, but lacked speed in defence and manoeuvrability in doubles. Then I bought the Arcsaber 11 3U, which has indeed speed and manoeuvrability, but too little power for my taste. Clears and smashed cost me so much effort. (sure, lack of technique, ok). Now, I am trying out the Voltric 70 in 4U.

I would like one single racket for single, double and mix. Do you use one single racket for all disciplines? Or do you use a different type/weight racket? I rather use one and the same so I don't have to get used to the "new" racket everytime I switch from say single to double. How is this for you?

Yonex Voltric LD-Force (VTLD-F) and Yonex Voltric 80 (VT80) are excellent rackets that can work in these type of situations.

Few personal preferences for dual purpose - Nanospeed 9900, Victor BS12, Voltric ZF2, nanoray 900, li ning N90..occasionally Karakal m tec 70 - depending on the court, bird and climatic conditions.

    Don't we all? :D

I'm using the same racket for singles and doubles. I think the best trade-off is an even-balanced racket, if you want to use it for all disciplines, unless you want to make a big sacrifice in either offense or defense.

I'm using BS12 for MS,MX & MD. Getting used to another racket is a tradeoff which is too big for me. Annnd I am just to lazy to walk to my bag for getting another racket. And all despite the fact I carry a ZF2 4U in my bag all the time.

I think it's best to use the same racket for both doubles and singles.

    I currently use zf n zf2 for singles n z speed n vt80 4u for doubles
If u really looking for one single racquet for both then u probably choose an even balanced racquet
Arc11 n Duora 10 will be my choice, or z speed

I've found that head heavy rackets in 4u weight fit the closest. Voltric 80 in 4u is powerful and fast. Definitely usable for both. I however change between rackets. Js10 for men's doubles mostly, with the JS12, voltric 80, and tk9000.

I use same racket for singles and doubles. My weapons of choice is Nanoray 900. It does the job for me.
The BS 12 works well in both games also.

I play with 4U JS10's with same string at the same tension and grip MD, XD and MS. IMO the adaption to a racket and the technique is more import for a thunderous smashs instead of heavier heads or stiffer shafts. FME a suitable string at the right tension and a optimal grip for your hand is mostly half the battle. If the flex of the shaft suits your swing, dang you have reached everything important.

Anyway, I think that VT70 4U wouldn't take the cake for you. I think you should work on your technique first and try a different job. It's pretty often the case that people dislike rackets, because of the stringing job instead of the racket design. At the end of the day, if you have an average smash and a mediocre defence, no racket will work fine or superb in both departments. Especially people who never find a powerful racket with a good defence should work on their technique first and spend money for coaching instead buying the 4th and 5th highend racket which also not work. Sorry to say, but rent a good coach for a few hours first. :)

IMHO. Li ning Calibar 900. 4U weight, head heavy feel and sword frame for fast swing.
