time flies, i'm approaching a year to this wonderful sport when comes to Oct

I weighs around 66kg, body seems to be much lean than before,
most importantly, i can eat more without growing fat as my metabolism had increased.
Pretty good shape for a 40 years old man , i must say. ;)

the journey is long, painful and expensive.

I'm now playing around 7hrs of badminton and some weeks, 10 hrs..
in which, 2 hrs of training weekly.

from rookies level, i now dare to challenge the intermediates without much fears.
Although, most of the games, i still lost. :D
but thinking back, i now can cross, net, drop, defend and even know how to smash.
i still sucks at backhand, occasionally clear as my footwork is slow or some say I'm lazy to move my body..
My shots are still high at times..

since my wife dont come to this forum, i say i have progress more than her..
cos i really put in efforts in this sport.
i spend nights practicing my clear momentum and carry weighs to strength my wrist power..

i'm not being pompous, in fact i'm very grateful to many who had share with me during this journey.
I'm still using cheap rackets from day 1 and an average li ning shoe.
However, i'm a fan of Malaysia Maxx sport apparel.. its great, cheap with cool designs.
i guess i like to dress cool when playing badminton :p

That's great! Keep it up! I always have a celebration on my badminton "birthday." (I usually bring a treat for all my club members like cookies or something.) I think it's important to reflect on all the changes badminton has brought and sounds like you have had a lot of great changes!

    hello Cheung,

    nope, i did not..
i actually fail the pre op check due to some health issue and had to postpone.

After a good talk with my missus, decided to postpone to another year or discard the thought

For now, i been strengthening my legs.
    lunges, ankle rise, etc
most importantly, i'm still playing actively ;)

the leg has not been giving me any issues so far, although most of the time, its relatively aching in pain..
    sore
due to too much exercising. :D

i'm playing on every wed and train twice on weekend :p

thanks for the kind concern, it was really nice of you
