Guess not. JPN took it in straight games 21-15 21-17. Congrats for the top 2 seeds to make it to the final.

Well at least minions won their match :)

    I kinda agree with Steen.

IMO, ginting is one of the few MS players i have seen who "troubles" KM court play.

Perhaps it's ginting style or the way he construct the rallies, which seems to me, kinda disrupts KM smooth cruise control, making him work harder to win rallies.

Yeah, I like their way of cheering. I have lost count how many times NO cheers using megaphone.

I'm think MD and XD will go to China. JPN will be favorites in MS and WD.

    WS is 50-50 I guess

Rahayu jump smashes weren't enough to penetrate the defence. Chen/Jia is the real test tomorrow.

INA did give JPN challenge. Kudos to JPN for reaching final. I hope JPN can win the trophy tomorrow.

We don't even know if MatsuNaga will be fielded tomorrow. It can be FukuHiro.

I honestly have my doubts about WD. Chen and Jia thrives in matches where they have immense home support. It pumps them up to beast mode lol.
Here's me hoping for another Sonoda/Watanabe scratch pair.

The posture gap between INA WD and JPN WD is huge! Hard to penetrate for the lesser.

So true. The tall lady, Mayu, doesn't even need to jump.

I’d say it is Ginting’s willingness to anticipate and take early Momota’s safe shots e.g soft blocks and half smashes that forces Momota to rush and distrupt his rhythm. Coupled with his natural speed and power gives Momota tremendous pressure.

Shi Yuqi also possesses this trait

I believe they won't be fielded against Chen/Jia… unless the other JPN WD have much worse H2H.

I don't always follow Momota matches (except his AE and BAC wins) and boy...the way he celebrated at the end was unlike what I usually see him. The man actually shows emotions!

Is Endo not in the team roster? Endo/Watanabe could make sense, Sonoda is a pretty mediocre player imo, even Kamura/Watanabe would be better.

2 Polii and 2 Rahayu on court might beat the JPN pair..

Well I only hoped due to the synergy they had in Thomas Cup finals 18'.
But yes, his smash form is so underpar lately. Not steep and very predictable; it's like he's just wasting his energy on smashes that does nothing.
Endo/Watanabe makes sense or Watanabe with anyone else. Cos KamSon played 3 ties in a row and their performance at each tie just deteriorates more and more.
