Liu/Zhang's ranking just dropped to 14 this week. My fingers are tightly crossed that they could make it by the qualification period ends next year.

Liu/Zhang is broken. If WC is important, why it cant motivate them? Those pairs like AhsanHendra/BoeMo lives on because they won important titles while this and Ko/Shin just a flash in the pan.

Winning one was probably enough for Liu Cheng, who knows what's gone wrong with him all this time. Zhang Nan can't win it on his own.

Liu/Zhang will play He/Tan in AO for the first round. Bit unfortunate in my opinion. Hopefully they can make it through.

    Japan Open.
Look, why don't we fast forward everything and skip to Tokyo Olympics? Shall we? ;)

And what good is that going to do us if he's skipping the entire qualification period? :D
By the way. Who would you choose if you could replace Liu Cheng?

Hmm.. being Zhang Nan's partner is not easy. It has to be someone up for the task, someone who can withstand being targeted and play well under pressure.

I don't think anyone in CHN team that I know can be worse than LC for the moment.
Someone suggested Han CK. It could work.

I thought LC was chose because of his power and strength. I Think HCK is a good front player. opponent will lift non-stop to HCK/ZN pair with no worry.

I say bring back Hong Wei to partner Zhang nan. As a bonus they could discuss about zhao yun lei a bit in training breaks.:D

I think when Hong Wei and Zhang Nan played together in the CBSL 2015-2016 they went undefeated.
