Hi. Need your advice. I play double, and like to smash a lot. Regularpy used Fleet 3K Woven Ti 1. Got myself a yellow, 4U Astrox77. String it at 26lbs using Aerobite. Tried it more than 10 times, still could not master it. 2 sets maximum, and that's it; I changed racket. I feel the racket is a little bit too heavy for me, despite it being 4U. My response was slow and inaccurate, especially in front of net. Sold it to a friend of a friend. Would AX88S or AX88D suit me better? Or would I hate these 2 rackets as well? Please advise. Thank you.
AX77 is very easy to use and even more so a 4U. I don't think you'll feel any better with either 88S or D, maybe 4U 88S.
Looks like head heavy doesnt suit you. Try the nanoflare. Maybe the cheaper nanoflare 270 speed? Its half the price of the nf700. See if you prefer a lighter head or not.
Its slightly lighter (head) than the 88s and definitely will be alot lighter than the 77. I am using the 5u variant tho. Yonex Nanoflare 700 https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?sh.../forums/index.php?posts/2733077/&share_type=t
Okay, so the Astrox 77 is kinda head heavy slightly less stiff..and if you’re not okay with it you should understand that it’s the head heaviness that is spoiling it for you, you should try the Duora range which is even balanced, now if you prefer a stiff shaft it’s be the Zstrike and of you prefer flex then go for Duora 10, I had same issues and z strike made my defense a lot better although shots weren’t as powerful anymore
Is it still worth buying astrox 88 in 2019? Or maybe wait for new racket instead? Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
If you will have that kind of concern, then you might never end up buying any racket at all Try it and see if it satisdies you, then decide Sent from my JSN-L22 using Tapatalk
I bought an MP99 recently and actually use it. I thought it was worth it instead of waiting for a new racket. But that's just me. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
Omg. Got my hands on the AX88d last weekend. Yes I feel the stiffness but seems like I'm still able to generate power even thou I switch from mid flex balance to this stiff and head heavy. My timing for hitting still need improvement thou. But one thing I dont understand. Seems like its head lighter then voltric 80 and less stiff as well! It felt like it's even better then ax77 Anyone has the answer to this?
I'd say out of all the "new" racquet technologies in the past few years, namd is one the few legit ones. Play a game with AX99 and then immediately ZF2, both feel equally stiff when driving but AX99 noticeably flexes more when hitting hard.
So it's because of this namd technology which makes ax88d feels much easier to use? Even thou the head heaviness and stiffness is about the same as voltric 80? Cheers
Chill mate. If you've read my own experiences before with the 77, 88S, and 88D you'll know I'm being funny. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
I'm chilled I was just talking about namd matter-of-factly. Most of the other times when someone says a racquet is easier to use I just think it's got nothing to do with the technology. I just find it interesting how namd is actually noticeable.
