Seems alright. Might as well string it up and see where that goes.

Still torn between N9-ii and N7-ii

N9-ii offers everything I need in a racquet but lacks precision, which leads me to do some errors when trying to make my opponents run around, or give them high shuttles easy to kill at the net
N7-ii gives me the precision I need and is a joy to use when you play against more skilled opponents, but is tiring, don’t think I will be able to play with it at 100% through a whole tournament

So I’m still looking for a racquet with all N9-ii attributes but a little more precision… does it even exist?

I've done the same journey as you for almost the same reasons. 7000B !
Although I was going for more feel, (which may or may not equal precision) whilst retaining the easy power access of the N9ii.

How about any of the Calibar line? Perhaps one of them would fit? Similar frame speed at least.

I played quite a long time with N80 and N80-ii, great racquets, but I found they were lacking solidness at impact, perhaps they were too much aerodynamic, had the same problem with BS12

Tried my doubles partner’s one and yes it was quite good, more close to the N7-ii but easier to play
If only it wasn’t so ugly!

Ah. Totally get what you mean. Hmmm.. If you like the 88S how about a 77?

Why would a smaller grip be a problem? I could understand a bigger grip and refusal to shave your handle...
Don't tell me you're one of those people who believe that adding weight at the handle affects the head heaviness of a racket

Perhaps the S2 grip with his setup is just perfect as it is? I can understand that tbh. Sometimes you just need to feel the bevels. A extra grip layer over that can screw with the feeling badly.

Fair enough. Didn't think of that. Seems a shame to dismiss a racket because of grip size. :p

Agreed. I actually really love the 12L. There's just something about the G6 that gives it that extra touch and angle.

Absolutely hated astrox 77 and 88d, 88s is the only one I like but my friend play with G4 handle and towel grip so the grip setup was too chunky to be sure I will like the racquet with my setup!

It is just that my setup is S2 or G5 handle with one overgrip and I don’t want to bother with something else as I’m perfectly happy this way... tried G6 /S1 and it was really too thin

Could you care to elaborate more on why you chose the 7000B? If it’s an N9ii with better control then it might be the one for me

Really depends on where your control problem originates from. For me it was the feedback from the frame. If you're lack of control comes from flexing the shaft them you probably need something stiffer..
Also I defend and counter pretty well with any racket so a speed frame doesn't add as much to my game.

Same thing to me, can defend and counter very well with N9-ii but it just lacks some stiffness when playing tight net shots and lobs
Tried to play with higher tension, but at 12kg (26,5lbs) BG80 lasts from 1 to 4 hours...
