hmmm....he is a slowstarter i think taufik will play better and better but i still cant believe zhou mi lost
Or it could be that he is testing the draft, pushing the shuttles near the lines. If I were him, I would do that. Learning the draft could be crucial for later stages.
Hopefully the draft is not that strong as everyone is saying. The organisers should try and bring the draft down atleast on the SF and finals days, given the reasons why there is draft. Anyways it looks manageable at the moment.
lol, yea the same with gao/huang who just finished their enemies by 15-0 15-0, poor girls i hope mia can win, cos i want to see her play, its been a long time (or at least get to sf, so that i will be able to watch)

The shuttlecock, which weighs the same as five paper clips, has been taking a beating from not only the players rackets but also breezy conditions that send it on errant flights out of the court. "It was hard to keep the shots in the court with the wind," United States singles player Raju Rai said following his marathon 15-9, 9-15, 15-12 loss on Monday to Thailand's Poompat Sapkulchananart. Organizers have tried to minimize the wind by turning down the air conditioning, putting up extra curtains around the courts and making sure all the doors are closed. While it is not unusual to have a draft at a world championship, the competitors say the air movement inside The Pond is even stranger than normal. "The side wind is a bit strong. We will have to get used to it," China's Xie Zhongbo said. Malaysia's Hafiz Hashim added: "The wind makes the shuttlecock go sideways. It is quite difficult to hit it." Denmark's Thomas Laybourn said it was important to arrive in Anaheim early and get in a couple of days of solid training. "There was wind in the hall but we adjusted to it from the practice game," Laybo
Yeah I also wanna see her play but the thing is that to be able to reach the quarterfinals, she needs to beat xie xingfang in the third round and in their last meeting she had lost to her so lets see what happens...Starsports here is gonna show the recorded matches from the Quarterfinals. I hope she wins.
Hmm, i don't think he's "testing" the draft at all. Yes, he admits that even during practice game sessions inside the Pond a couple days earlier, he was having trouble with the draft. He definitely tried to put his point across regarding the A/C draft, during a couple of interviews conducted after his match. He said, not only is the A/C draft bothering the players, but he's pretty sure it's bothering the fans as well who are watching the match.
Shortest match... 10 minutes! Wei Yili/Zhao Tingting beating Taiwanese pair Cheng Shao-Chieh/Cheng Hsiao Yun 15-1, 15-4 Must be a really fast paced game
Doubt it... they could have just isolated the weaker player. And I wasn't refering to Cheng Shao-Chieh as the weaker one.
