Pressure and lack of experience got the best out of Lee Jii Zia imo because he was leading and playing well until point 14 of the first set then suddenly plummeted. It's his 6th loss in 1/4 final this year (may be a bit of a mental block here?) and it was his first super 1000 tournament.

He posted something on his instagram saying he suddenly couldn't move his legs and he didn't recover his body condition from the match against CL. Knowing The Dane did not play a full match because of SYQ's injury that might explain part of his sudden drop of performances. Yet it's the second time he loses against A. Antonsen who played a very steady game from the first to the last point. Probably two future top 10 players.

He has to. But let's not forget A. Antonsen was surely feeling a bit fresher than LJZ and A. Antonsen might also be a bit superior than him at the moment. He already beat him rather easily at the last Indonesia Open Masters back in January. A lot of work in sight for LJZ but he has the potential! His match against Chen Long was quite something.

    HEARTBREAK FOR HOME FANS
World number three Chou Tien Chen takes revenge over Jonatan Christie for AG final defeat at same venue, Istora Senayan. Christie had good start to nail opening game and had good prospect to seal the match when managed four points ahead, 16-12 in second game but Chou revealed his persistence to fight back and did well to finish it, 21-18. In deciding game, home darling "Jojo" stamina was waned, commited many errors including misjudgment several times. The more confident Chou continues to penetrate his young rival and secures semis spot and will up against Thailand latest star Kantaphon Wangcharoen who dumped China sole survivor Huang Yu Xiang with explosive style, 21-10 / 21-17. Promoted from reserved list, Wong Wing Ki is doing marvelous job to reach final four in Super 1000 event, eliminating compatriot Ng Ka Long comfortably, he will set up a clash with the in-form Anders Antonsen. The recent European Games champion outclasses Malaysian representative Lee Zii Jia, 21-16 / 21-11.

    BIG MATCH ON SCRIPT
All four semifinalists normally never far from top eight world ranking in women's singles including today's line-up in Jakarta, defending champion Tai Tzu Ying will meet tough foe Akane Yamaguchi, the last meeting showed a gruelling match between these two elite players in SGP Open semifinal and highly likely a close battle will be repeated again. Tai beat her mirrored opponent Ratchanok Intanon, delicate netplay displayed by both of them, after took one game apiece Intanon ran out of steam in decider. Pusarla Sindhu regains her confidence to smash Nozomi Okuhara in stunning scoreline, 21-13 / 21-7. Sindhu will challenge China best hopeful, Chen Yu Fei who pushed hard effort to conquer Zhang Beiwen in rubber games, 21-14 / 17-21 / 21-16.
    • Once again host Indonesia will banking on mens' doubles category to bag title at home soil, Gideon/Sukamuljo also two-time World Champions Ahsan/Setiawan are expected to fulfill the expectation. The Minions knock out China new partnerships Ou XY/Zhang N and have Chinese number one to pass, the towering duo Li JH/Liu YC for a place in final. The All England Champs Ahsan/Setiawan survived in thrilling encounter, 21-15 / 9-21 / 22-20 against the tenacious Endo/Watanabe and will meet another Japanese foe, Hoki/Kobayashi who succeed to tackle the under pressure Alfian/Ardianto, 21-19 / 21-12.
    • Two Japanese pairs down in last eight, there're two remain in the semifinal fray. The Olympic Champions Matsutomo/Takahashi facing Lee SH/Shin SC while former world number one Fukushima/Hirota will find reigning All England Champions Chen QC/Jia YF, the pair whom they beat in AUS Open final early last month. FukuHiro spent long duration at court, 94 minutes of play to assure their spot in semis, beat fellow countrywomen Tanaka/Yonemoto, 12-21 / 21-16 / 21-17.
    • China and Malaysia will contest mixed doubles crown, the unstoppable Zheng SW/Huang YQ are predicted to overcome Tan KM/Lai PJ, more interesting semifinal clash in bottom-half draw, Wang YL/Huang DP versus Chan PS/Goh LY, the latter vanquish local combination title holder Tontowi Ahmad who's still covering his inexperienced young partner Winny Kandow.

Of course freshness wise AA was much better, but life isn't always fair. To be the very best, this will still need to be overcome. Some best players like chen hong is well known of that

Hoki/kobayashi really put some mental pressure with their solid defense, and they're so quick.
