My first pair were whites and were definitely not wide. It may depend on your country though., I am in Canada and my black pair is the same width as my white pair.

The wide version is a special version which is also mid cut on the ankle.. The regular stuff is normal in cutting.

I thought the first post is pretty self explanatory for the white that you were asking?

In Japan (the white black monochrome - actually ALREADY EOL AND phasing out) - 4E wide and mid ankle cut.
Rest of the world - 3E normal and low ankle cut.

A tell tale sign is to look at the silver part at the achilles area, the japanese one has so much more ankle support (aka the silver area)

    One year on, aka now...
For the 2019 year, the red black CFZ that was a Japan only unique colorway is now available internationally.

And in Japan, we have this, and the only pro that is rocking it is Mayu Matsumoto. Her partner rocks the Japan only 2E narrow SHB66Z.

Just an update on these, actually.. there's a problem with the design. It eventually loses its rigidity, and because it has no other form of support, it can give way quite easily. Started almost twisting my ankle in them, and decided to get a new pair of shoes.

Yikes! Glad to know you're alright. The heel area caves eventually I'm assuming?

Yeah, the ankle stops being supportive after a while. It was only a minor twist, but I knew I'd be trying my luck. I swapped over to my 03Zs, and am currently using Aerus 3s (which I'm surprised fit me, to be honest).

Damn.. Guess I gotta be careful some time down the road. I don't need my 11th sprain on the right and I own these shoes. They're really nice though.. How's the fit of the A3 compared to the CFZ? I've been eyeing a pair..

Tighter round the toes, but as I usually take a 4E, I'd say good enough.

I got ankle sprained on right foot 3 months ago with comfort z, it's better for comfort but less ankle protection support compare 03z. Now i consider 65z2 when it's available in my local store.

I cannot find a badminton shoe that is wide enough for me. I've been using general trainers (Dr Comfort Jason 4E) which don't have great grip for badminton. I have tried all these, and they are all too narrow.

    Yo.nex Eclipsion X Wide
    Head Unisex
    Yo.nex 65 X 2
Prince Vortex (same width as Prince NFS II)

Any help would be much appreciated, I have sent back 5 pairs of shoes in two weeks!!!
    Thanks
    Mark.
