I would like to buy some sets of BG80 red or a part reel. I would consider other red string which has similar feel to BG80.
Not selling but have you given gosen gt5 a go? I found it to be great alternative to BG80, doesn't feel as hard but lasts longer, and looks lovely in salmon pink ( more red than pink fyi ). Stringer's world do 20% off on them from time to time which puts it down to £62/ 200m reel which is a bargain..
I'd say it plays like a harder bg66, it's been my go to string for years now in terms of cost, durability and performance. I read somewhere that Gosen R4x110 has very close feel to BG80 if not harder, but haven't had personal experience so can't say.
Ok thanks, I've used bg80 as my main string for many years. I've used bg66ult a few times and it's ok. I had a look at the gt5 salmon colour, I would prefer a full red colour such as the bg66ult and bg80 lin Dan.
