Oh, this match was ugly. I hope Antonsen makes it to the finals to play against Momota. If Kantaphon makes the finals, I fear the outcome may be similar to Sai Praneeth.

Yet another opponent schooled by Momota, masterclass.

KM couldn't have hoped for a better draw, but then again ATM there's absolutely noone who could def him even 40% of the matches they play.

Good chance to defend his title, and deservedly so.
As for BSP, with his game style it's very difficult to challenge someone with KM's type of game. He shouldn't be too hard on himself and should work hard to get some consistency and hopefully be a top10 player around Tokyo

KW is not experienced enough, AA more unpredictable, I'm not sure between them who has a better chance against the redoubtable most in-form KM.

But, no matter what, I believe neither AA nor KW can beat KM tomorrow, not this time.

Nozomi is not only in better form, she is also fitter, stamina-wise, than IR

Bwf tournaments: top 10 WS players look @ the draw and if they find Sindhu " oh no. Unlucky me ".
Normal tournaments : top 10 WS players look @ the draw and if they find sindhu " wow. I am lucky ".

The only thing about Antonsen is that he beat Momota earlier in Indonesia this year in the finals and Antosen did it without a coach. So Antonsen may be able to cope with the pressure in a finals situation against Momota.

I believe Kantaphon has no experience making it to the finals of even a SS and winning against a top 5 player in the world in a SS finals, let alone Momota.

I agree with you that Momota is still favored over Antonsen but with Antonsen, maybe he will pull another rabbit out of his hat against Momota like he did earlier this year in Indonseia. I mean, if you can beat Momota in the finals without a coach, at least you have proven that you have the mental game to beat Momota.

When i look at it as a whole again, I dont think Sindhu did badly in SS tournaments. She is still top 5 prior to this (unlucky that TTY meeting the strongest seed in QF)

Champion in WorldTourFinals, RunnersUp in IndonesiaOpen, SF in IO & SO. In fact, i am surprised she is above RI in rankings. The top 8 in WS is just so competitive (Including Marin)

It's clear the bottom half of the list is harder than the top half, especially Akane was lost at the first round.

I belive that if Tai Tzu Ying or Sindhu or Chen Yufie was on the top half, she could swept out all players and took a ticket of the final match.

No doubt Intanon has the better attack but the question is, how long can she do that ?

If Sindu wins the WC this year, I would argue that she has accomplished more than TTY from a career perspective, despite all the SS that TTY has won (but I value OG and WC more than multiple SS wins; people have different opinions on this).

Once IR's attacks peter out, NO will start dictating the rallies, I think

IR's moment of magic, that low x-net return shot for the winner

If this match goes 90 minutes, think its safe to say Sindhu will be WC.
