Yeah I didnt even think about her...Thanks for reminding me bro..yes mitchel lee hs improved a lot...darkhorse for sure.
It's good to see Ruthvika back in action, it's probably too late, but her injury jaded young career can still take some flight. Tough nut to crack tomorrow CHN's much improved Wang Zhi Yi Don't expect to get pass the stern test , and even if she does I don't see her tackling ZYM SF isn't bad though, surely a start .
Nitchaon jindapol is a very frequent face even in higher level tournaments, comeon don't "thai player" her that's very Charmaine Reid of you
Ruthvika retired AGAIN in a match. Anybody watched? Another injury? Heaven knows know one can afford them, she the least.
She is very weak for professional player. I thought she is the only one after Sindhu. But her name was missing for the past 1 year or so. Now, happy to see her name and unfortunate to see her retiring from the match. But she is also registered to play Ukraine International as well. I don't know whether she will play there or not.
Just checked Li Michelle's IG story, she took a bus ride from TPE airport to her hotel, after exhausting flights. She mentioned Taxi would be 15x the price of the bus, which happened to take 50 min and left her at a stop (who knows how far from her hotel) Can't imagine even a second stringer from CHN or even India for that matter to go through all this. Not to mention she handles all her logistics and scheduling by herself (with hired help?). Kudos to her to be so motivated and determined in following her passion inspite of a whole world of problems and shortcomings in her way, just because she's based in non badminton enthusiast nation and yet doing so well. Especially when the reward is very little (?), Does she have any endorsements?help and sponsorship from the association?
At the Chinese Taipei Open now ongoing, Lin Chun-yi, who made us sit up and take notice of him after he captured the US Open in July, lost in the qualifying rounds to Cheam Jun Wei. Actually, this is LCY's second defeat since, at the Akira Masters i Aug, he lost to Thammasin Sitthikom. A few other results that didn't turn out as I expected are: 1) Fitriani beating Kirsty Gilmour; 2) Heo Kwang Hee beatin gTommy Sugiarto; 3) Lucas Claerbout beating Wang Tzu Wei. On a minor note, am somewhat disappointed that 2xWJC and multiple Int'l Series/Challenge titleholder, Kunlavut Vitidsarn, fell in the opening round to Shesar Rhustavito, not that the latter is an also-ran, not really, but that I expected more of KV despite his youth at age 18.
Well, being successful in junior doesn't automatically become a threat in professional world. There is really no shortcut to the top of the world, even if a player is extremely successful in junior. I think only half, or even less, of the successful junior players that can survive at the top of the world.
