Is it also true that the pro players are using custom rackets? Even thou it appears to be the same racket as out in retail but the spec and how it plays is different.

its true, e.g LCW used a racket with D10 (orange blue paintjob) but the racket had energy boost cap, same with LD the racket he threw into the crowd in Malaysia open 2019, was a LDF matt black paint job but also spotted and energy boost cap (pictures can be found in this thread)

Any idea on Shin Baek Cheol and Ko Sung Hyun actually using 4U Apacs? SBC's been known to use a 3ug5 custom Jetspeed in the past.

Yeah but only a few. Most of them are using commercial versions that everyone else can buy.

You have to be more specific as to what you mean by custom racket. The evidence ranges from marketing driven paintjob, handle size, 3u pro. Vs 4u for public - or vice versa....
I seriously doubt that racket manufacturers are making rackets for individual tastes, such as extra 5g weight at 263mm from handle base with narrower frame profile by 2 mm from 9 to 3 o'clock etc and painting it like a commercially available racket.
And I suspect that the story about "pro players rackets are made to higher quality - like YY JP versions are higher quality" is just modern folklore.

You're very much correct. A yonex stringer said that the majority of professionals simply use commercially available racquets with no alteration whatsoever.

Saw Lining advertisements that Liu Yu Chen, Zhou Hao Dong, and Li Jun hui used to use Aeronaut 7000B. And now Li Jun hui switched to en 9000D. However, as I watched matches of them, it seems like Liu Yu Chen and Li Jun hui are using 7000i and Zhou Hao Dong is using some NXX racket. So basically, all these adverts are bullsh1t. Wondered if anyone has slammed or tried suing Lining before for all these false adverts?

If that's your argument then YY and Victor should be sued to their balls dropped off too.

No offence intended but its just the way it goes in our sport.

Nah. Fine print should be "racket player uses may or may not be an actual representation of the actual product".

    In even smaller fine print...
"Player thinks the racket advertised is a pile of **** but if you believe us then we can sell you some other overpriced shirts, trainers and bags, sucker"

Indeed colour look alike but definitely not ARC CY. Pros cannot use another pro endorse racket. Just like d10. Pros only can used the orange Green or the orange blue. They cannot use D10 Lcw frosty blue. Frosty blue only meant for Lcw. Arc CY will be meant for people who idolize CY since he already retired

Not really, pros can use another pro's endorse racket, i give you few examples, LYD used to play with MX JJS and even Duora 10 LCW, Yu Yang used to play F9, Kim Ki Jung used to play MX JJS...
