Hi everyone. Having some back issues, lately, I have slightly raised the height of my machine. What is the best height for stringing ? What is good for the back is probably not good for the arms. What is good for electronic, is not probably good for dropweight machine. I'd like to read opinions about these ergonomic issues.

    Stand straight up

Adjust height of machine so that the racquet fixed would be at the level of your elbows if you allowed your arms to hang down.

    Make micro adjustments as necessary

Ditto. Elbow to chest or thereabouts plus tilt the machine towards you if you like.

Notice the extreme tilt used by the stringer in the background about 2:04 in this video.

Watching the extreme tilt used by this stringer in the video, I was thinking, what if we set up a machine without stand against a wall and try to string in this position, the turntable completely vertical, of course adapting the orientation of the gripper and slowing down the rotation with some braking system on the axle. What could be the benefits ? The pros and cons of such a "revolution" ? :)

String mover will fall on the floor if you try to put it on top of the string bed ;)

Thinking about it, it's an awl that would fall, string mover you can just hang on the string.

You wanted "pros" - here is one for the string mover .

For sure this "revolution" will be more adapted to stringing process with flying clamps, just like hanging out the wash, with the clamps :)

Oh, you are not joking??? I don't think you could finish two rackets with your hands in the air with nothing to support them... also vertical weaving is not going to be fun??

    But is it fun?

My electronic machine is set up with a tilt towards me using some rubber foam blocks. The top Yonex machines have the tilt feature built in.
