Image 1 is wrong and image 2 could be correct. But you would have to see the head of the racket.

Neither is good. The racket is almost in line with your forearm making pronation useless.

You need some angle between the racket and your arm to make it work. This is achieved by some space between the base of your thumb and the handle.

While I've seen people taking the thumb up even for forehand shots, I've also seen people where this seemed to prevent pronation which worked totally fine when taking the thumb down.
Note that your middle finger and thumb hold the racket, the other fingers just stabilize it, but they're quite relaxed. Tightening that grip at impact adds some more power, too.

Could you please post some videos or pictures, I cant quite understand what you are trying to say.It would help me to better understand the position of the index finger and the thumb during a forehand grip as well as the angle made by the racket and forearm while executing forehand shots.

There's a picture in the post you quoted. Maybe this helps:

    angle
    space

If you still don't get it, I highly doubt this...
Also, it has been discussed many many times before. The last time is not long ago, so you could have found it even without the search function (you're still allowed to use that). There's much more on it in other threads, so you can find much more.

Could someone tell me if I am holding the grip correctly. I have some doubts about the racket placement in hand and finger placement:-
1.When I hold the racket more in fingers
    When the grip is loose
    IMG_20190924_074233473_compress46.jpg

    When the grip is tight
    IMG_20190924_074248604_compress47.jpg

2.When I hold the racket a little more in my palm
When the grip is loose IMG_20190924_074310093_compress6.jpg

    When the grip is tight
    IMG_20190924_074319410_compress42.jpg
In this case on tightening the grip the handle of the racket tends to move in the 'buttcheek' of my hand.
Also what is the correct finger placement while holding the grip:-
1.More towards the top of the handle
    IMG_20190924_074329803_compress44.jpg

    2. Near the thumb IMG_20190924_074348368_compress53.jpg

Also while holding near the thumb should the index finger be placed above or below the thumb.

Sorry, I completely missed your post!

It should be relaxed. The first one doesn't really look relaxed to me. Same for
I actually wouldn't be surprised when this changes during the stroke sometimes (when really tightening your grip). This leads me to your first question...
Sounds to me like you'd prefer it more in your palm, because it gives more stability, but you're concerned about it ending up 'wrong' after tightening during the stroke. So let's have a look at the grip number two, more in your palm, after tightening the grip.
    PSX_20190927_164331.jpg
The buttcheeks of the hand marked in orange, the edge of your racket's handle marked in green. It's far from the crack between the cheeks. Looks fine to me to start with. A quick comparison to your first pictures shows a significant difference.
    PSX_20190927_165108.jpg
Here, the handle is coming awfully close to sitting between the 'checks'.

I hope this helps and sorry again for missing your post before.

Even if I hold my racquet like in method 1 ( more in fingers )will it make difference in performance or its compulsory to hold it more in palm like in method 2.

that's right that it should be in the palm when you squeeze the grip, I'm not sure of any case where squeezing the grip wouldn't cause that.

it can or should be more in the fingers when relaxed, and fully against the palm only when squeezed.

    above, for forehand grip.

    below, for backhand grip

that is fundamental and important to note regarding changing between forehand and backhand grips

for backhands you push with your thumb or squeeze it in against your thumb... how can you do that if your thumb was below. Thumb is above.

for forehands the index finger is above. and I think maybe that's for control

also this thread some useful things are mentioned, particularly some badmintonfamily videos about grip in general that goes into good detail, and also a badmintonbible video. https://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/index.php?threads/neutral-grip-versions.182972/
