Ginting lost to Momota more than 3 or 4 times lately. So, Probably, AA have a chance or Chen Long if both of them follow the discipline.

 

Same framing as usual - Chen Long really is much better (Searching for his form for 3 three years, but "coming back"), Momota is "in form" and "wasn't really tested at the WC" (funny old form that, lasting for 1 1/2 years).

But it is true Momota was not tested, he did not drop a single game. It just shows how much ahead of others he is.

But I don't buy this Chen Long coming back narrative. He may win today but for him it is trying to stay relevant when talking about potential Tokyo medalists. He also won one tournament last year after world championships when most players were already tired after long season. And that victory did not change anything in big picture. My prediction is that Chen Long wins today but tomorrow Antonsen will beat him.

ChenLong match is always slower than typical MS match.
