It was the "Victor Korea Open" last year. Has Victor pulled out? That might explain the drop in prize-money. I thought the same about the poster; none of last year's winners feature. But given the current political atmosphere, the absence of Japanese players is hardly surprising.
2 korean md facing each other first round...bet the korean fans not happy about that. especially cause im sure theyd wanna see LYD move further into the tourney...but seo/choi been playing very well. would not be surprised if they make it to finals EDIT: 2 korean wd pairs face off first round too.
Shi yuqi pulled out? Sigh... I wanted to prove @j4kie wrong ( regarding shi yuqi vs lindan first round, I said lindan will pull through). Ok, he is lucky. Next time we will see.
I personally know this Chan guy. I wonder what's he doing flying around like that to these tournaments! Having a fun time I guess.
Hi dear friends, Hope ya'll are doing good and are in the best of your health Best Of Luck to all the Players looking to confirming their tickets for main draw and fulfilling their dreams of making a podium finish at the Korea Open. See you guys Soon Enjoy !
The qualification round is over, home WS assures three places in main draw contrary with their men's singles landscape, look dreadful that none can come close to Son Wan Ho. Both regular faces Heo Kwang Hee and Lee Dong Keun fail to clear qualifying obstacles, the latter lost to the unknown compatriot Kim Dong Hun, rank #143 and 26 years old based on BWF profile. Thailand prodigy Kunlavut Vitidsarn also through to main draw and will be awarded to meet current MS king, Kento Momota tomorrow. You could give him some advice about the standard of badminton in Asia. Seeing his Nationality flag, i wonder why did he participate flowing all the way from England. Did he think that he got a chance for Olympics ? . He is not even regional level standard for any Country, let alone BWF standard. He scored that against a junior player. So, he should forget playing professionally.
With that kind of attitude , Tontowi should go and retire. Most of the INA XD girls are overweight or overheights but i think Winny is better than her seniors. Should also try Ketut. while the XD boys like Praveen or Owi , i think they have mental block to stop making errors. lol.
Oh he’s well aware He is a bit like the 60+ year old American player who goes around playing internationally- Matthew Fogarty
