I have noticed that the past three or four time when I broke a string, all within the last 2-3 months, it is always the topmost horizontal string that broke. Does this mean anything in terms of the string job I’m getting? Or my style of playing? Anything I can do to make the string last longer? Thanks.

do you happen to drag your racket on the ground?

My kids used to do that, and strings were breaking WEEKLY. I told them if they keep doing it they will have to string their own rackets. now they only break string every month or two.

other than that, replace the grommets at that area. just blanket replace all of them, see if that makes a difference.

Hmm interesting point. I don’t think I drag it around but I think I do bounce the racket head off ground occasionally. Will pay more attention. Thanks!
