Just now saw that sankar is playing Bahrain international. It is in progress.
So, i dont know whether he started playing seniors or he chose to play seniors since he was not selected for world!

Not bad, Li Yun took out the top seed, Line Kjaersfeldt. LY has really improved quite a bit as shown in her performance last week at the INA Masters.

Sankar is younger than Meiraba and Satish. Maybe 14 or 15. I think he chose to play in Bahrain because he wasn't selected in WJC due to undesired result in qualification tournament . OTOH, players like Samiya, Gayathri and Priyanshu who don't have any praiseworthy results in juniors skipped qualification tournament for WJC. Only a fool will skip WJC.

Sameer verma is OUT. I don't know what happened to indian players lately. Last year he was good . And this year he is nowhere to be seen.

Dutch Open is turning out to be a tournament of upsets. No.1 seed Sameer Verma lost to an unknown Japanese player (is he a junior player ?), 3rd seed Mark Caljouw, Lucas Corvee , Thomas Rouxel lost. Weng HongYang also lost to an unknown Bulgarian player in three sets o_O. I liked Weng HongYang back in Lingshui China Masters final. He tries to emulate playing style of Tian Houwei.

True , yet our best hope.
Tough draw that they had to meet the #1 seeds so early in the competition. Indian contingent ended (virtually) in the championships the minute they started showing signs of nervousness and gave away the huge lead.
Hoping to see Tanisha improve in next few years and be a much needed reliable partner for Satwik in XD.

No, not a junior. Onodera is a 24 year-old Unisys player, who was actually on Japan's B team in 2018. As he is no longer on the national team this year, he is not receiving any national funding to take part in international tournaments, ... but this has not stopped Onodera from venturing out. Just last month he won the Sydney International. Yesterday's win will have been a huge confidence booster for him.

Especially men's singles category, none seeded players left in quarterfinal stage with four qualifiers march on, that's quite anomaly. Two medalists of 2018 YOG still progressing, Li SF will take on French peer Arnaud Merkle whom he beat in Buenos Aires YOG semifinal while Lakshya Sen will up against fellow countryman Rahul Bharadwaj who knocked out 6th seed Victor Svendsen yesterday.

She's an aggressive and attacking player, more impressive and interesting to watch than sluggish Zhang YM.

If any silly thoughts count, Jamil is more athletic & fast style of play compared nicely to great female XD players from CHN such as HYQ or ZYL. I still don't see much wit, smart, and flair to be put in the same breathe of Lilyana's name.

Wardani ? She has nice attacking game, but her footwork & speed is still much desired to just even touch Marin knee level of play.

Wouldnt say Ramlie is a gifted player. Nothing extraordinary, just a fighter type.

    yeah.

Riko Gunji is definitely like AkaneYamaguchi.. I think Wardano vs ZM
    is a better matchup.
