I think you're confusing repulsion with power. ABBT has less repulsion than AB, but power depends on you.

So wouldn't your smash speed improve when you switch between AB and ABBT?

That's true for any thicker string vs thinner string though. A thicker string will transfer more energy to the shuttle therefore giving the shuttle more speed. There's a limit to this though depending on hitting technique and swing speed.

I am thinking about ABBT now that my AB's life is coming to an end.

I initially switched from 66UM to AB to reduce the bounce at net and also drops without altering the current tension (28lbs). Now, I intend to reduce the bounce further by switching to ABBT. Will it work?

As for feel, is it thaaaaaat much harder? What is the Vectran feel that some of you have mentioned?

Vectran cannot be described, just try it. And yes ABBT has less repulsion than AB.

My first session with NF800 + ABBT 26lbs, and also my first time using ABBT. Always BG66/BG80. First impression, I dont like the string. I produce this "blop" sound which I dont like. Will give it a second try tomorrow evening..

Yeah , I'm currently using it and oh man, it's hard to produce a powerful smash not hating, personal preference..It doesn't sound good either, as mentioned earlier, the "bloppy" sound.

I don't think ABBT is any good at medium/low tensions. At 26lbs I'd probably stick to BG80 or something else.

    I like it.

Power is there with power shots and lesser bounce with delicate shots.

I also like the extra feedback/feel of it. AB and 66UM feels numb.

What i dislike is the color. Doesnt match with the 88S. Hope to see more color options.

Yes, its powerful when hitting clears and smashes, and less bouncy while hitting drops and netshots. Repulsion is there, but not at the level of bg66um or Li-ning no1 boost.

Although the sound was a little thud, but i liked the overall feel of this string, and it kinda grows the longer i used the string.

I have tried hybrid of bg80 mains and bg66 cross, however the feeling is not even close to ABBT.

Durability wise i would say its better than regular aerobite, but still the aerosonic cross gave up on me with severe fraying, while the mains still not showing any wear and tear. I would use this string again after my LN no1 boost breaks.

I have only used it for a session. I can see one part of the coating peeling off. Will take a picture later.

Here. Just after 1 session, peels like this starts appearing here and there (the yellow string).[IMG]

Wah :( but as compare to aerobite isit very big difference. Because it's super expensive to restring not sure if I wanna try this :(

Better feedback, lesser repulsion. If you wish to get these traits without upping your tension, you may look at this string.

Currently I'm not sure why my aerobite suddenly gets very bouncy it's like I just lifted as per usual and it goes out of the byline. I'm suspecting that it's due to he string tension getting lower as it was last restring at least 7 to 8 months ago. Hence was thinking getting this chance to restring to ABBT for a try.
